I've blocked so many Heated Rivalry tags and yet some keep creeping in and dear lord, those men were just made in a factory.

okay the "noooo don't reblog this post" thing was only funny about twice in the first place, but given that we now can both mute notifications for a specific post and turn off reblogs for a post entirely, it's just transparently self-promotion. like. come on

prefacing this with I'm not a poetry guy at all, I'm an illiterate bastard with no appreciation for the subtleties of the word, etc, but it grates on me when famous poems have rhymes that don't really work. like the tiger tiger one is such a sick poem but symmetry? fucking symmetry? could he not have gone, like, what immortal eye or hand dare frame thy pitch-streaked brand, or--okay I thought hand would be easier to rhyme than eye, but rhymezone suggests "prostate gland," so I've decided to call it a day

I really gotta stop doing this thing where I get woken up by leafblowers at 7, get up and close my windows, climb back into bed, and then just mess around on my phone for an hour or two instead of trying to sleep. lose lose situation
