Attention everyone, this upcoming MD is going to be a little different than previous years as we're gonna be testing out something new. 10 rounds a year is a lot for both editors and judges. We have been listening and understand the burnout that comes with editing a round a month and that it is not always possible to deliver the quality you want in a limited time frame. On the other side coming up with 10 rounds for every theme isn't always the easiest. Sometimes there aren't enough great round ideas and you can end up writing a round you don't really like just to make sure you fill out the season. So for this season we'll be doing 5 longer rounds (plus the bonus round) instead of the 10 shorter ones. We think it will work best with the theme and the ideas that we have and make the season the best it can be for everyone.
This won't be happening for every season, there are some seasons that we might want more rounds for or ones that we want to have higher detail rounds for it all depends on the theme and we don't want to restrict ourselves to a specific number every year. It will be announced before the start of every season how many rounds that there will be in that season so that you know what you'll be in for going into the auditions. Audition deadlines will also be extended to 2 weeks from this point on.
In addition depending on the amount of rounds the amount of contestants will be adjusted to match. 16 contestants is a lot to have with 5 rounds so this year the amount of contestants that will be accepted is 12. This will also be announced before the auditions every year depending on the amount of rounds and the themes chosen in the future.
We want to make Mx Disney the best that we can so we hope everyone understands these rule changes and why they have been implemented. We hope everyone will have a super fun time next year and the years to come. <3

@wolfspirit79 is your Arts Department!
Frollo - Mr. Olivier used to be part of the Royal Shakespeare Company… or so he claims. He secretly believes he was made to be more than some high school drama teacher, and holds some resentment over it. Nonetheless, he will whip these students into shape to be the GREATEST high school actors in the district. A very melodramatic man.
Dean - Mr. Davis is a huge believer in personal expression. Anything can be made into art, no matter what the critics say. He has a particular fondness for students who think outside of the box. A very laid-back teacher, who wants his students to excel at whatever they put their minds into. He is rarely seen without his beloved coffee mug.
Roger - Mr. Dearly is a multi-talented music teacher with a mischievous streak. He is an excellent listener, who’ll sometimes improvise songs in order to make his students laugh. During exam week, Mr. Dearly will occasionally bring his dog to school in order to help the kids relax. Has a bad smoking habit when nervous (especially during budget cuts).
Congratulations to our second poster contest winner AvatarAfrica who will be getting an extra week for their audition. It was a very difficult choice between the submissions we had so congrats to everyone who participated.

@2009jorose is Principal Amzy!
Principal Amzy is a strict, no-nonsense woman who takes her role as both Principal and coach of the cheerleading squad very seriously. Everyone at school knows that it’s best to not make her angry and to stay on her good side, though some debate if she even has one. The complete opposite of her husband fellow faculty member Professor Amzy most students wonder if they’re even actually married.

Marigold is your Languages and Humanities Department
Davey - Mr. Redgrave is a bit of puzzle to not just his students, but to everyone around him. Though he comes off as sarcastic and somewhat cynical at a glance, Mr. Redgrave has a soft spot for the weirdos, the losers, and the down-on-their luck. He may have settled for a job as the English teacher at the local high school, but he’ll never really let go of his dream of one day becoming a best-selling novelist. Until then, he sees a story in every student he meets, and deep down inside wants them to succeed where he believes he failed.
Archimedes - Mr. Amzy lights up every room he walks into. He is good-natured if nothing else, though some might describe him as “a goofball” or “an eccentric weirdo” or “that one completely unhinged teacher.” As the Humanities teacher, Mr. Amzy has a passion for seeing students thrive and is always the first to encourage them to pursue their own passions—especially if that passion is history. Though he’s far from a pushover, Mr. Amzy is more than happy to hand out extra credit and provide resources to any student who needs a hand.
Prudence - Ms. Fox is feared by many and loved by few. She’s a stickler for doing things the “proper way,” or at least what she deems is the proper way, and her severity in and out of the classroom reflects this. She strives for perfection and insists that her students do the same. There are rumours, however, that she wasn’t always this way. Some of the whispers say it was unrequited love, some say it was the loss of a loved one, and she tells all of them to be quiet. Only students who excel in the cooking club, Ms. Fox’s passion project, get to see her momentarily break away from her usual austere self.
