We thought it would never come but finally, in all its advil liquid gel colored glory, THE FATAL UNPLEASANTNESS AT NETHERFIELD pubs TODAY.
While I was excited for last year's release, it is nothing compared to how desperate I was to get this book in my hands. Every five days the asoiaf fandom decides that the delayed 6th book is coming out imminently and STILL fatal unpleasantness at netherfield (a phrase my auto fill was all too sure I was about to type) was my most anticipated read of the year.
I thought about Juliet and Jonathan more than many people I love during the wait for this release. Friends to lovers does have rights and it truly doesn't get more slow burn than this. Slow burn yet you know they want to bone, which is my sweet spot.
Nothing can compare to these two for me (and I am actively looking for something comparable, it simply does not exist). I hope that we will have many more anticipated release days with this series, especially with the little fandom we're building on here, let's go freaks!!!! 💚💚💚

i really really need the fatal unpleasantness at netherfield to come out already because i NEED to know if my elopement theory will come true. ever since i read the last chapter of the rushworth family plot i kept thinking “they’re pushing these kids too far, if they keep doing that they are going to run away together”, but i thought that was just me wanting the most dramatic solution HOWEVER the more i read the previews and summaries and advanced reader reviews the more i’m convinced that jonathan and juliet are going to elope or at least try to elope. like there’s no way that the “final choice between respectability and love” is not about them eloping.
also this might be why claudia gray changed juliet’s age (she’s 17 in the murder of mr. wickham so she should be around 20 during the fatal unpleasantness, but instead it is mentioned several times in the rushworth family plot that she is 18 and still a little too young to marry) the inconsistency was driving me crazy, but i think that if she was 20 then she could just wait until the following year and marry in england (maybe without her parents approval but she wouldnt need their legal consent). them eloping makes a lot more sense if she is 18 and oh my god they are going to elope these last few weeks before the book comes out are going to be eternal
i was planning to post this on release day but i got really caught up in the book and then i got sad (post book depression was no joke) but here it is finally. i told yall i was going to render it one day, by which i mean fully colored illustration based on the first book. thank you to the random comment on tumblr that didnt even give me the right title but that allowed me to find this book over a year ago my life was not the same afterwards
