#mcl beta

So... let’s talk a bit about all of this situation of the absence of the 4 other boys in the MCL beta page.

I was talking about that with my good friend @meu-mundo-comum and we got to a conclusion about that.

I will put my arguments here too, so...

Well, considering their post about our wardrobes, that gives us the option to continue using the “High School body for Candy” because it would be cruel to simply delete 7 years of events and clothes, I can’t believe that they would delete the most important thing of the game: The boys.

That would be cruel.

Castiel is my boyfriend, but still, the other guys are really important for me, and I can imagine how the other girls, that are dating the others, are feeling. Is not throwing another love options for us that we are gonna forget about the boys we spent 40 episodes living with.

As it is just a Beta page, I believe that it is probably incomplete. I really hope that.

All the 4 boys need redesigns too, and maybe they’re not complete yet! Maybe they didn’t put them in the page yet! I don’t know. It must be naive of me to think that, but I truly believe that, unless they are DEAD, Chino and Beemoov wouldn’t give up on them like that.

And, finally... The possibility of us breaking up with the boys, and they studying in other universities. Still, I can’t imagine how they would give up on them just because of that and leave us just with Castiel. Ok, he is very popular, but that is not an explanation. Period.

Pros:

More diversity in love interests. 

Being able to romance: a girl, POCs, and even one that’s older.

The character models have improved.

Personally I wasn’t a fan of the short curly hair for the high school life, but I’m loving how our Candy looks now. Plus everyone else looks attractive as well. Also we can change our skin color in character creation, that’s a big step up. Maybe the illustrations will show this too??

Vague sense of realism

Listen, as much as I hate losing our old boys (most of them anyway), it’s reasonable to believe that relationships end after high school. I didn’t stay with mine after we entered college, we even went to the same school too.

More adult themes

I’ve been playing MCL for over 6 years now. I grew up, along with my Candy girl, I’m glad we’re not stuck performing more high school activities.

We can change between high school and college profiles

I still like a lot of things about my high school Candy, so I’m glad she’s still there.

Cons:

Changes to AP

Instead of charging us 2APs every time we move around, we’re charged for each conversation or dialogue box we have. Which considering this is a text heavy game (it’s a visual novel duh), this is kinda concerning. They try to circumvent this by giving us 20AP per day but I’m still iffy on this.

The missing history of our Candy

We had a major timeskip of 4 years after episode 40. And during that time our character lost contact with basically every previous character, including our boyfriend (who becomes our ex). For those that were on Lysander’s route for high school, it’s heartbreaking to hear what happened during our missing years. It’s just disappointing our character lost touch with everyone and we have no idea what happened to them all during that time.

Being that man-stealer again.

I love the drama, and I’m sure there will be plenty to happen considering we’re adults now in the game, but ooh girl. We have to be a man-stealer again? For those that had the Nathaniel route in MCL, there was of course Melody who wasn’t so happy. And once again for in UL for the Rayan route, Melody is back and has another crush. Sigh. Why can’t we all be friends?

Our college major

I know it’s kind of really difficult to plan around several personalized college majors and still tell a cohesive story. A big issue for why we only had/have a choice between 5 dates is because the team can’t do more, so I get it. But I wish we could have picked between some different majors.

Everyone can play UL

Finally! I have been able to play the beta demo and I must say that I really enjoy it! I’m looking forward the real release so much! There’s so much to say about but I rather not spoil here! However, if you want info, you can always message me in my PM!

Now, I have seen a lot of peeps being disappointed with the fact that all the boys except Cast are not going to be part of MCL Campus Life. Trust me when I say that I’ll miss my dear poet Lysander. I have been among the ones who started playing the game when it went out in 2010, so it’s been 8 years by now. I grew up with her, she was part of my teenage life and I graduated almost at the same time she did. I can practically say that we are going to University together haha. 

So I am as sad and frustrated as you toward the fact that the boys are not gonna make it. BUT that doesn’t mean that the won’t make any appearencd at some point. ChinoMiko said to trust her and I do trust her. Also it was kinda of hinted that some of the boys are going to make an appreance. I mean Nath is still on campus, Armin comes back for family event and Lys still have his brother in town, as for Kentino they can come up with something for sure!

If you don’t want to play MCL campus life because your boyfriend is not there, it’s your choice, but i feel like people are not even giving it a chance, because, as I said, the characters have some much potential. Worst case, don’t treat it as a sequel, treat it as a spin-off if that can ease your mind. This is what I intend to do.

Ok, I got the second message with details, but when I want to log in, I see this:

If 5th flirt turn out to be Nath, I won’t even give MCLUL a chance and just leave the game. I’ll having trouble accepting Castiel. Nath isn’t even one of the most popular boys (I don’t think that Castiel is the most popular boy either, but nevermind). With which reason do they bring him back? 

One of the old crush is enough, I can’t handle two. If Beemoov plan to bring an old crush, they should make a poll and ask us, the player, which boy we want the most. That would be fair. 

Only cause Nath and Castiel were the first flirt in MCL, they have always benefited from this. They got a good writed arc with a lot of episodes. They got their own agendas (Castiel’s agenda was sold out fast, but Beemoov never sell all the agendas of Nath, so they never bother to make agendas for other boys). They were always in front app and home page (web side), but Kentin or Armin never. And now Cas is avaible in MCLUL and if Nath is part of it too, that's just unfair.

I didn’t begin with MCL for Castiel or Nathaniel, but Ken (later Kentin). After 34-35 episodes I didn’t like him that much anymore (his new design, the change of his character), so I switched to Armin with a history replay (Beemoov said MCLUL will be a sequel, so I was thinking I would like to start the university life with Armin and spend a lot money for my history replay).  I was angry, feeling betrayed (I spent real money for nothing cause Armin isn’t there anymore.If they haven’t hold back the info so long it wouldn’t turn out like this), but I would have given MCLUL a chance. but so I would never give a chance, if they bring Nath (as flirt, as a friend I don’t mind him) without asking us. That would be only a slap on my face. Sorry to Nath fans, but I can’t accept this. That’s not fair. I won't play the game MCLUL which is from a company who cheated on me several times. Cheating from Beemoov isn't the first time for me (with cheating I mean money loss cause of them), but that would be the last time. There is a lot better otome companies with great otome games. Because Beemoov was from Europe, I’ve supported them, but not like this.
