the fact we would only spend about a week and a half maybe two weeks on the holocaust bugged me because there is literally so much to go over, so much history and people just would not care.

i remember one day we were watching 'the pianist' (which is my favorite movie that deals with that time) and there is a scene where Nazi soldiers come in and take an elderly man in a wheel chair and wheel him outside off a 14 foot drop, and then a tank or something goes by and takes off his head.

also another scene where a little boy is coming through a hole made in the walls of the ghettos and he gets stuck, a solider on the other eds beats his bottom half until you can hear the snap of his back.

both times im sitting there crying, and people in my class were laughing and asking for it to be played over.
