“ ... ‘Yes’... ‘definitely’... ‘absolu-’ ”

“ ... I don’t even know you. ”

“ Oh, hey Mabel! Long time no see! Still, uh... still keepin’ up those pit jokes, huh? ”

Well, it didn’t bother him too much at this point.

“ ... Oh, edgy-lookin’ guy? You mean Pittoo! Yeah, he’s kinda like my dark and edgy, less attractive palette swap! But don’t worry too much about him, he’s all edgy and stuff, but he’s totally harmless! ”

      “Wait, you have a pet PIG?” That was certainly unexpected, though,       she supposed in some... weird way, the little guy WAS cute.. kind of       like Wilbur was... Her and Jeanette’s science experiment pig. Still,       they hadn’t been allowed to keep the pig --- did people here just keep       pigs in their home? She didn’t see any farmyards around here. This       girl was definitely... unique. First the odd sweaters, and now this?

Morty Smith isn’t good at a LOT of things.  One of the biggest things on that list is comforting another person when it’s apparent to him that they need some kind of support.  He’s willing to make an exception for Mabel, though he can’t promise different results.  Every time he tries to comfort someone it backfires on both of them in one way or another.

Here goes nothing.

Taking a deep breath, the young boy sits on the ground beside his friend and studies her.. sweater.. for quite a while without saying a word.  He’s hoping this long period of time will provide him with some -thing helpful and not at all stupid to say.

         ▷ “H-Huh?! Must??” What was with people and wanting to touch his wings? Well, he supposed it wasn’t too surprising, considering most human have never seen an angel in person, but the attention still left him a bit unsettled. In fact, he hadn’t even meant to be found by someone at the moment! Looks like his cover was blown quicker than he wanted.

             Sapphire eyes gaze at the girl before him wearily, judging whether it was safe to allow her to do such a thing. She didn’t seem like a cruel person or someone who would bully him, so maybe this was alright. It was a shame that she met him of all people, considering his wings were honestly very pathetic in size, but it wasn’t like she would find another angel other than him--well, aside from his dark copy, but even his wings were just as lame as Pit’s.
