SIDE NOTE: I didn’t realize how instinctively I phrase things when I speak naturally instead of bein’ corrected by folk or hyper aware of how I SHOULD speak, sounds similar to him? Like phrases I say without thinkin’ much. Like lightweight thang, I say stuff like that often. Is southern dialect ingrained in our DNA the same way our trauma and dreams are passed down? I’m curious.
