Name: Mbielu
Alternate Names: Mbielu Mbielu, Mbielu Mbielu Mbielu
Mythology: African Cryptid (Congo)
Size: Large (Kentrosaurus version) or Huge (Stegosaurus version)
Environment: Swamps where the Mbielu Moss grows
In Mythika: While most people think the Mbielu is a Stegosaurus, Dravidosaurus or Kentrosaurus the truth is that the creature is actually an plant parasite that takes such big lizards as its host. Mbielu is a dangerous mind-influencing moss or algae that attaches itself to big herbivores (or rarely carnivores) and turn them into berserking horrors that protect their environment against anything that would eat Mbielu Moss. It mostly grows on the planks, sails or spines of big herbivores, and they are most encountered on Kentrosaurus as they share their habitat. Mbielu Moss releases a poisonous gas that enslaves anything that breaths it for too long, then if attached it releases a different toxic gas that turns the host into a force of madness and anger, attacking anything it sees spare for other hosts to Mbielu Moss/Algae. Dimetrodon, Stygimoloch, Therizinosaurus and Crocodiles are also sometimes the hosts for Mbielu Moss/Algae, but far less common than Stegosauriers. The most powerful Mbielu Moss even enslaves Mokele-Mbembe sometimes.
