MazeScroll 6: A Maze Puzzle for Two

Scroll art seen on the smartphone becomes a new way of experiencing art. It is more convenient than actual physical scroll but it retains the temporal experience that a scroll provides. You can see the art only sections at a time. So, in an abstract way, it is sequential art because you experience it sequentially. This offers the artist an opportunity to create art that builds visual drama like a movie or a comic strip. The scroll art, like a story, can be broken down to a beginning, a middle and an end.

“Briar Rose, From Head to Toes” is a 4-page/2-spread maze that shows Sleeping Beauty at the point of being woken. She looks underwhelmed—years of dreaming was bound to raise her expectations far above most men’s ability to fulfill.

I did this maze a while ago, but it is still my favorite. It’s a maze puzzle as landscape art.
