Fascinating au, and fuck yeah Zuko interacting with Suki! (Also what if the reason they swap back when they’re around each other is because they’re going to their original bodies? They were swapping from being babies, they don’t know for sure whose body is whose… lmao)

​this is such a funny idea to think about. the mother of faces just casually dropping the fact that zuko's not wearing his original face and everyone just. stares at zuko. they're all pretty sure that's not suki in there right now, so...

and then zuko just shrugs. eh. doesn't matter. he's zuko now.

Okay listen, I haven’t read the Kane Chronical in... 8 years now?? So... do with that what you will, the only non-main character I literally can remember anything about is Felix so:

- Felix and Nico spent a short time together at Westover Hall, they shared a mutual friend group during their time there and Felix left some point shortly before Nico... They weren't close but they definitely knew eachother and had mutual friends, they had a project together or something at some point

- Felix is autistic, he's hyper-empathetic, and his stim is rubbing his collar bone or the tops of his ears, he does handflaps sometimes as well but it's not his most common stim, he likes weight stims as well.

- He's got a huge vocal stim, he's almost always humming or singing, and he'll take any oppertunity to sing. People don't mind all that much because he has a decent voice, he's not a good enough singer to be a professional but people will ask him to do an encore at karaoke or turn the radio down if he sings along with it.

- He doesn't understand the "spoons" metaphor so he refrences electronics instead to explain his state.

- His special interest is of course penguins, and he likes space as well, he wants to be a scientist when he grows up and live on Antartica for a while.

- He likes drawing so he tries to learn to do pottery but he can't stand the feeling of the clay so he stops, he tries to pick up painting as well but the paint smell makes him naseous although he found a brand of watercolors he likes so he uses those

- He makes such cool drawings of penguins, and eventually branches out into drawing marine biology, and space; eventually he draws all sorts of animals and he's really quite good

- He starts looking into becoming a scientific illustrator since he could go to Antartica and draw things from there and he thinks that would be really fun

- Him and Walt are really good friends, Walt likes kids and kind of adopts him as a little brother in some ways; they can usually be found playing basketball, watching movies, or doing crafts together

- Cleo is also kind of like his older sister, and they usually talk about books, watch docuementaries (Walt's not usually a fan of those), and she taught him how to swim

I’m so curious how Ursa is with the Gaang. Does she train anyone, or does she avoid them?

These are clearly her son's friends. It's obvious from the way he interacts with Sokka on the airship on their way back to the air temple. She hasn't seen him like this since Lu Ten died. She listens to the story of how he ended up getting involved with the Avatar quietly. When she hears what Ozai did to her son in her absence...

...well. her expression doesn't change any. But Toph can tell this woman is positively murderous at the moment.

I think Aang in particular is a novelty for Ursa. She's grown up on the stories of her grandfather, Avatar Roku. It's so strange looking at this little twelve year old monk and thinking that he was her grandfather in a past life. Aang just wants to know why Zuko's mom is looking at him like that.

Did June know Ursa? Also is Zuko still the Blue Spirit?

​June and Ursa have never met in their lives- it's really just a coincidence that June ends picking Zuko up. Or to be more accurate, Zuko's the one who just starts following June around.

He will still become the Blue Spirit! Katara and Sokka talk him into helping them free Aang from Pohuai, but any bounty hunter worth their salt knows that going up against the Fire Nation is bad for business- so he does the logical thing and decides to wear a mask.

I’m curious what kind of relationship Zuko and Azula have after he starts his redemption, and also what Azula does with the Gaang. Does she join them? Does she help them without joining them?

​I think Azula and Zuko's relationship is ultimately less strained than that of Iroh and Zuko's, because I picture Azula holding on to a lot of guilt about the way she treated Zuko before he 'died'. That guilt just gets worse as she spends more time around Iroh, and starts to gradually unlearn what Ozai has taught her. She should have been nicer to him when she had the chance, and now she'll never get it.

And then Zuko turns out to be alive.

And he turns out to be an assassin. Her father took Zuko from their family and threw him into that hellish life without a second thought. And honestly? It's a real eye-opener to Azula about her father. She's having quite a lot of those, actually! And not just about her father, but about the Fire Nation and the war as a whole.

She does ultimately end up joining the Gaang. She helps her Uncle teach the Avatar firebending (though she finds it intensely frustrating due to his lack of progress at first). She's the one who tells them Li's real name- that he used to be her brother, Zuko. That she thought he was dead for the longest... and she doesn't know what to do now that he's alive.

I think she feels sorry for Zuko? She remembers what he used to be like. He was just a kid. He was dramatic and stubborn, but he laughed and smiled- and now he doesn't do that anymore. She sees a shadow of who her father wanted her to be in him- except at least she was allowed to feel things. Zuko wasn't allowed to feel anything. She wants to help him, but she's not sure how.
