"Don't move! I'm going to call the cops." In her hand, the babysitter held up a cellphone and she was frantically trying to dial the emergency number.Â
"If you don't put that phone down then I'm going to kill the both of you." The dark figure held Sarah in one arm and reached into his pocket with the other, pulling out a switchblade. Unopened, he held it against Sarah's resting face.
Shakily, she brought the phone to the ground. "Now stand up, slowly, Â and kicked the phone over to me." The young woman did as she was told, quiet sobs spilling from her mouth. "Good girl. Unfortunately, I still don't trust you."
"What?" She stared up at him, eyes pleading. "I'm just the babysitter! please don't hurt me! I was just trying to do my job! Oh, God! Please! Don't, please!"
He put Sarah down on the ground and grabbed the cellphone, slipping it into his pocket as he stepped forward. By now the girl was trying to run away and he caught her by her hair, yanking her backwards and throwing her down the ground. "Don't scream." His voice was demanding, he twisted one hand around hers and broke her fingers. "That's for trying to call the cops." The switchblade opened and he swiftly  ran it across her neck, blood spilling out. She won't make it through the night. "And that's to make sure you won't do it again."Â
The killer scooped blood up from a trickling trail down the babysitter's body and grabbed a chunk of Sarah's hair, viciously he sliced through it and cut a piece off. By now she was awake and he propped her up, red hot tears streaming down her face as she cried. He snapped a Polaroid of the screaming child and placed it inside a small gift box, along with a lock of her bloody hair.Â
It was time to take her somewhere else now but first he needed to convince Beth that her daughter was safe. He reached into his pocket and took out the young girl's cellphone. Scanning through the texts, he made sure to seem like her and sent a message telling Beth that Sarah was sleeping like an angel.Â
