In which Maybecat discovers the addictive properties of bleach and I resign myself to a shredded hand after every time I clean my bathroom.

I am catsitting a friend's kitten for two weeks while she's home for the holidays, and I am having some... difficulty introducing her to my little furball, who has somehow gone from most chill cat in the universe to demon spawn in the space of a few hours.

The new cat is totally laid-back and relaxed and just seems to want to make friends, but Maybe (my cat) is having none of it. I've tried quarantining the new cat for periods and keeping them totally separate, and Maybeface does come out on her own when Mel (the intruder) is nowhere in sight, but other than trying to combine their scents by rubbing socks on their facial scent glands, I'm out of ideas about how to get Maybe to chill the fuck out.
