Widomauk??? In the year of our lord, 2026???? It’s more likely than you think!

Much like how Percil’dan grabbed me by the throat ten some odd years after the fact, Widomauk somehow grew horns on my head and grabbed me by them, then set the horns on fire.

It’s a problem.

If I was an Elven maid, tasked with sewing all those bloody stars on the heraldry banners I would be asking for a compensation equaling my weight in fucking GOLD.

i think to mel physical intimacy is a skill she has whatever level of proficiency in. and she already gives this to him, by letting him touch her at all, so i think new body parts involved, whatever they may be, are just an expansion on something she already does. (especially if we’re running with taylor dearden saying she’s ace, although this is assuming she’s not also aro, and/or not sex-repulsed, and/or favorable to kissing.) (there’s also a level of her being autistic and therefore having a different relationship with physical touch in general that impacts this, but if anything that lends more credence to her viewing touching other people as a skill that she can practice, and also something she really wants, considering all the high fives.) most importantly though, she knows how to deal with her emotions when they’re overwhelming; she knows how to adequately prepare for them, as evidenced in her whole shift with her lava lamp phone app and savage meditation and ocean sounds.

adhd addict in recovery frank on the other hand, who has to relearn how to self regulate pretty much everything, is WAY more likely to be overwhelmed. kissing mel would have the most complex and intense emotions he’s associated with any kind of physical touch outside of hugging his kids in years. like his marriage obviously isn’t going great, if he’s pulled out a surprise dog and salmon dinner and an addiction to benzos all in one day. so it’s been however long he and abby haven’t been good, plus rehab, plus divorce — or at least separation, legal shit takes a varied amount of time depending on states and kids make shit hard — PLUS however long it takes him and mel to actually acknowledge feelings and do something about it. i think he’d freak the fuck out.

and! he spends the whole evening helping with the code triage in the hopes that robbie will tell him he’s doing good! he BEGS him earlier in the day to tell him that they’re friends. his relationships mean a LOT to him, people liking him means so so so much. so if he’s going to be kissing mel, of all people, who likes him freely and unabashedly and with fervor, who finds joy in the simple fact of his presence, he’s going to want to make it good. and thats soooo much internal pressure.
