Like real people do is also Viktor, he and reader both have to pretend to be people they aren't but I think Viktor is far more bitter about it and so for HIM the idea of getting to love someone like real people do is very emotive, like they don't need to pretend together! At least eventually, they aren't there on the fic yet lol.

A place I don't know is a REALLY special song to me, made me cry when I finished the game it's in. And the idea of being led out of a comfortable but unsatisfying life into something unfamiliar but more thrilling is soooooo reader. Viktor is all about pushing boundaries but reader would NEVER do that without him.

If I didn't care IS both of them, I imagine them singing both parts. that reader gets scared her feelings aren't reciprocated but Viktor picks up the other part of the song. It's CRINGE they are CRINGE

Oh i 100% added that song with Viktor's POV in mind. Especially the repetition of wanting to "never ever lie to you" really made me think of him, because he is lying about himself a lot at this point in his life and the idea of having something he doesn't have to do that around is something he yearns for i think. Plus i do think he feels a little badly about the way he has been treating her so far, but doesn't really have it in him to apologize yet.
