SUPER-FUZZ - brand collection

"some history about the legendary Super Fuzz ... it got its humble start in 1967 as a stand-alone unit called the "Baby Crying" Fuzz, made by the Japanese brand Honey. ... A: the original designer of the Super Fuzz is still a mystery! (yes, Fumio Mieda, designer of the Univibe, did NOT also design the Super Fuzz)  B: production of the FY-6 (Super Fuzz) ran for 10 years! And,  C: in that time they were licensed to an almost endless list of brands, small shops, importers, and distribution companies. ... We find plenty of Super Fuzz wedges dated well after 1970, with the latest I've come across is 1977! And that's a pretty insane revelation considering that most of us thought they were somehow all made between 1968 and '69."

It was wonderful. My favorite party in a long time.

It felt true to the spirit & the aesthetic of May Fair, and incorporated many elements of what worked best from previous McKittrick parties. The performances, costumes, lighting, and decor were exceptional, as always.

Highlights:

Paisley Players incorporated throughout the party! And on the main stage!

The fair on High Street - it was a lot of fun and meant there was always something to do.

Part 2

May Fair was fabulous. Incredible costumes and performances, surprise “Wicker Man” theme, terrifying moth dancers, a Nine Inch Nails song at the finale, and a human sacrifice... what more could I ask for?

So much thanks to the incredible creative team who works so hard to make these events great.

Also my one complaint - the vegan “dinner” was a barely cooked artichoke with a few leaves on top of it and five green beans, that arrived twenty minutes after everyone else’s entree. I don’t expect the Heath to be at the forefront of vegan cuisine, but for the amount we paid for dinner, come on. At least find a way to incorporate some protein and carbs.

(Luckily the Paisley Players performed, and Evelyn Grey was a fabulous host, so I forgot my annoyance and mostly enjoyed the "dinner” experience anyway.)

Also in the realm of criticism - the change from open to cash bar was handled with such disrespect toward the attendees who had already bought tickets. I’m glad they tried to fix it by comping a few drinks and offering refunds, but it should never have happened to begin with.
