They exist now in this expanse of forgotten ships and wreckage, a place Mera hardly traverses anymore except for her diplomatic duty. This is no longer home, though it will remain shackled to her name for all of history to remember. “  yeah.  ”  is this what they refer to as being kept verbally hostage. unlikely,  but the pause wherein nothing of worth has been said to end or continue the conversation leaves jessica’s mind wandering elsewhere. she is late. and unwilling to associate with avengers,  former or current,  for longer than necessary. call it self preservation,  call it a kindness extended to them as well.
