I listen to a lot of Taylor when I’m writing, so sometimes the song depends on the story. For example, If Today Was a Fairytale was inspired by the song of the same name.

For my Ethan and Cassie, the main TS songs are:

Fearless (the simplicity of a relationship that makes you feel like your true self)

Labyrinth (captures the highs and lows, that wanting; the moments when he almost walks away but doesn’t)

Snow on the Beach (falling in love with someone as they’re falling for you too)

Sparks Fly (their relationship is literally electric)

Blank Space (more the chorus than anything else)

For Maxenna, my main song is actually Jake Bugg’s Me and You.

From Taylor’s discography, the most apt ones are:

New Year’s Day (not wanting to be with anyone else when one year ends and a new year begins)

You Are in Love (being in love with your best friend; in fact there’s a fic I want to write with this song)

I saw this on my Pinterest and immediately thought: Maxenna.

And then I noticed the pic next to it.

I have a lot of Maxenna AUs that live rent-free in my head. lol

They meet at a concert when she asks him to pretend to be her boyfriend to avoid a drunken concert goer hitting on her; it's instant sparks.
