a few max-related thoughts:
-the song that was playing during her “death” scene was the same song that was playing when they found will alive in the upside down. so even though the song was so sad, it could be a good omen.
-since she was deprived of oxygen for a whole minute, is likely permanently blind, and her bones were broken so badly, i wonder if she will have to re-learn how to do certain things (i.e. talking, walking, etc). the thought of lucas helping her walk and eleven helping her form words is a really sweet thought and i hope the duffers take advantage of it.
-vecna may have trapped her consciousness (prob why el couldn’t find it), but hopefully when eleven defeats vecna for good her soul will be free to return to her body.
-i’m sure we might get a similar lumax parallel to when el was struggling and mike told her he loved her. like max may be struggling to emerge from where vecna has trapped her and lucas will be the one to bring her back with love (and a kiss maybe)
-her waking up scene has the potential to be REALLY fuckin sad. i’m picturing her waking up, realizing she’s blind and panicking, and feeling around for lucas, who we already know is going to be right next to her and comforting her about her loss of sight and/or limited mobility.
-i have to think that there’s significance to the fact that four of their group have been effected by vecna - eleven, will, nancy, and now max. that’s another reason i think max will survive. her life might look a lot different, but i think she will survive.
