Hey flan!! Can I ask about the Rexconditioned wip or "deckard vaguely remembers what was to have a heart"? 😳
sdhkjdsfh. The rexconditioned has in this moment the crazy number of nine (9) words, it will be (hopefully) your gift and if you want to know it’s about established maulrex, empire era, where rex starts having very weird dreams, maul offers to, you know, have a look around, alpha happens, it’s not pretty (but it’s not completely ugly, either?). the Deckard one jdkshfdh. The first thing is that I am a crazy fan of the F&F franchise, ok, so when I watched Hobbs & Shaw I knew I would probably ship them but when I watched it, how could I ignore the tragic relationship of Deckard and Shaw? So this was an attempt to give them kind of a bitter exes backstory. this has spoilers for the end of the movie, if anyone wants to see how it begins. --- Deckard vaguely remembers what was to have a heart. Hobbs is wrong, though, because he loves people; he loves his family more than anything. More than his job or saving the world, for sure. But they were on his side from the beginning, so it's easy to love them, he knows his sister and his mom and his brother like the palm on his own hand. He can’t begin to love someone new, and Hobbs is actually right there. Even in the dangerous field that was his work, he actually allowed himself to make friends, not to trust them completely because everyone has a price but at least enough to have a beer after it in cities he hoped to never come again. It started like that with Brixton, and ended up with Deckard putting a bullet in his head. Alone in Samoa, in the place Hobbs has left him, dripping and broken in a way punches can’t leave him. He has said, “You know, Shaw, I’m sorry about your friend. I’m sorry things have ended up like this.”, and he said “friend” like he knew something he shouldn’t. No one knows, and Deckard would’ve preferred to ignore it, too, but he can’t. Alone, in Samoa, he remembers.
