In 60 A.D. and following the death of Coin Counselor Rego Draz, Septon Barth advised King Jaehaerys I Targaryen to appoint Lord Martyn Tyrell as his replacement. Septon Barth argued that the appointment had more to do with the administrative and accounting skills of Lady Florence, who had begun counting apples as soon as she learned to walk and kept the accounts of Highgarden since her marriage, increasing the income of House Tyrell by one third. With the help and complicity of his wife, who was nicknamed the Apple Counter, Lord Martyn proved as capable as the previous advisor had been.
It is possible that her husband was succeeded by Lord Matthos Tyrell, who attended the Great Council of 101 AD. It is unknown if Lord Matthos was her son.
