SCRIPTURE:

"I assure you that whatever you fasten on earth will be fastened in heaven. And whatever you loosen on earth will be loosened in heaven." ~ Matthew 18:18

OBSERVATIONS:

If I fasten my will - my heart - my life - to Him and His will here on earth... 

...instead of doing and thinking what I want...

...I can rest assured of His mercy and forgiveness and being fastened to Him in heaven...

But if I don't... 

APPLICATION:

Sometimes fasteners need to be tightened - so tighten up!

But still - Have mercy just has He had (and has) mercy on me... (verse 33)

PRAYER:

Lord God Almighty - Forgive my looseness with Your grace - May I hold fast and close Your will for my life, and share Your love and mercy freely - loosely - with those around me - In Jesus's Name, and in His example, for Your great glory and honor...

Father God - Thank You for Your Comforter and Your Son Jesus Who provide encouragement and correction and strength when I am at my weakest, which also when I find I fight to do things myself and on my own - Please forgive this willfulness of mine - In Jesus Name, and for Your honor and coming Kingdom...

For Him - for you - for yours...
