🕊 Like a bird thru the night 🦅 I met Matteo Picon around a decade ago. He reminds me of what I call “My old San Francisco” - the people ID see when I first moved back here. I think the first time I saw him in person was at the Powerhouse but I had seen his set design work at Qbar for Booty Call a Wednesdays way before then. I got to know him mainly thru Grace Towers, who he worked closely with. He hired me to work the door for their party Dick at Night a few times, and performed there too. We didn’t know each other super well but he would message me when something reminded him of me. Sometimes I would say obnoxious things to him just to see how he would react. You couldn’t deny he had style. 🙏🏽 His memorial is today @ 4.
