i loooove matlock (2024). i love matty matlock and i love when she is a little bit fucked up and evil. i loooove olympia lawrence and i love how she is not afraid to be a little evil right back but also out of love. i looooooove this platonic relationship and how it's working on like seven different layers. to quote the great sandra oh, "This ambiguous, charged, sexual, energetic, rivalry, mother-daughter, all this stuff, that’s all in it." like, i know what you're all thinking, NOOOO they're just friends, and i agree. but ALSO, a good friendship is cooked with heaps of ambiguity, charge, sexual undertones, energy, rivalry, and mother-daughter dynamics. who else gets it
