I wish things had worked out better for us post high school. I was crazy about you, you know? But I just think we wanted different things. I felt like I already knew what I wanted, so I figured: why not propose? Why not just get us started on the rest of our life together? But you needed to find yourself, go to school..be the best person you could be. So I left.

And we’ll..I’m sure you weren’t too shocked to see me posting “Mr and Mrs. Martin” on your timeline about two months later. Biggest mistake of my life. I wasn’t ready to be somebody’s husband, support someone else the way a husband should. I had so much unresolved shit in my head that I was just a burden on her. Like I would have been a burden to you. So I’m sorry, I’m sorry for being an idiot, I’m sorry for not understand myself until like, maybe about a month ago?

Anyway, I guess I just hope your doing what you want, becoming the woman I know you could be. ..not that you need me in your corner, but I was always more of a Bill to your Hillary anyway. Love you, Lizzie.
