Two of my favorite pages, they are chapter openers for the book. These two didn't have a design brief, I just looked at the manuscript and figured I wanted to play on details. Top: Chapter opener for PATTERNS and ALGEBRA, the first thing that came to my mind was the tribal patterns on woven fabric. Bottom: Chapter opener for GEOMETRY, whenever I read the word Geometry the first thing I think of are fractals. Meanwhile, back here in the lab. I'm currently working on some illustrations for a Grade 5 Math textbook. It's my first time to work on illustrations for a textbook. I'm really excited how they would turn out. I always say, math is part of everyday life. Much like art, they co-exist. It's been a long time since my last post and my 100 Day Project was temporarily put on hold. It's supposed to be done in 100 days straight. Well, I guess I just have to go back whenever I can. Hopefully before the year ends. There's also a backlog of documented projects waiting to be uploaded. I can do this!!!
