Mathias R.I.P
On december 7, 2014 at 5:00 p.m., this amazing family lost their little boy, Mathias. I didn't really know this family well but I knew that they loved their son a great ton and would have done anything to keep him here on this planet. But God had a different plan for him, it was his time to go. At twelve year old strong Mathias said goodbye to this world and went somewhere else to bring joy and happiness to those else where. I didn't know Mathias but he was a strong boy i know that for sure. Going through chemo therapy at such a young age and having to get one of your leg amputated is a big deal. Osteosarcoma is something that no child should have to go through. He had always seemed to of had a smile on his face no matter what, but that smile and the love from his friends and family wasn't enough. Rest in peace Mathias. You shall be greatly missed and will never be forgotten.
Today was one of the best Monday's I've had in a while - until I got home. every time another child that I know with cancer dies, I get a sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach. I start to think that my sister is not okay, that her cancer is going to come back, and she is going to die. Today, Mathias Giordano died. Today, I put a halo sticker on my picture of Mathias. He was one of the sweetest kids I know, and he didn't deserve to die. No child deserves to die. It's hard for me to do anything without crying today, especially right now. I feel so helpless and so alone in situations like these - scared and constantly anxious. Please send your thoughts and prayers to Mathias that he may rest in peace and his family as they're going through this. #mathiasstrong
