"Happy thoughts won't get this math homework done." A long-siuffering sigh left the Lovers as she slumped back against the wall behind one side of her bed. Oh, if only she could just--snap her fingers and make this class go away, or perhaps summon Io somehow to blow away all of the textbooks ever published on the subject... but such flights of fancy were nothing more than that. The reality of the matter was simple; whether or not she liked it, she needed to do well in class and keep her grades up.
"Did you ever have to go through something like high school, Gouto-san?" The question came as her gaze shifted to the ebon feline, curiosity revealing itself. She knew the bare outline of his past, how he had been human at one point--but beyond that, the cat was a mystery to her. The same thing was true of Gouto's companion, though her curiosity about the Devil Summoner was growing deeper... more personal. "Mm, I bet Raidou-san passed his math classes without a problem. He seems the type."

I remember multiplying from this really stupid music cassette that had people singing out the multiples of 2 to 10.
And as much as the music wasn't any good, my mind only remembers multiplication when I sing out the numbers in my head.
It's the only way I can do much math at all these days, whoops.
