#math adventure

Ok, so everyone know that I’m a non traditional student attending university. I’m currently in the video game art track at my school. The courses so far have been lack luster and and I am sort of wondering why I’m spending thousands of dollars on this degree. A couple of days ago I was wondering about minors that the institution offers. They offer a computer science minor I would only have to take another 5 classes to have. I’ve already taken a few computer science classes as a requirement of my art track. The only problem is that I would have to take calculus I. I’ve only taken up to college algebra like 2 years ago. HAhahahah. I have decided that I want to have that minor because I’m crazy and feel that If I add that to my degree I will be considerably more desirable as an employee. 

So how am I gonna do this math thing? If I want to graduate the in the same amount of time as I would without the minor I don’t have space to take Trig and pre calc. I’m going to have to get up to Calc level math myself with self study. I found this wonderful site https://www.khanacademy.org. Which is a website full of lessons on various topics generally taught in schools. They have math,  science, economics, and some computer science. I also have a friend who is in love with math, who would be more than happy to tutor me. There is 1 year before I have to take Calculus if I want to try for the minor. So I’m taking this semester to see exactly how well I do with self study on top of everything. So now here is a challenge I have for myself. To relearn everything I have mathed up to college algebra by the end of the semester. I’ll be posting on here my progress.
