#matchup!event

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR 1000 FOLLOWERS!

i uh.. i actually don’t really know what to say here because i never thought i’d get this far ahaha.. when i started this blog in june last year i thought it’d just be a quiet little corner where i post some things about my writing occasionally, but instead i ended up picking up an apple pencil the very next month and took to drawing too! 

....and now there’s a thousand of you... for some reason.

well i’m still endlessly grateful for your guys’ support and friendship, so i wanted to take this chance to celebrate with you all! of course given it’s the month of love, i thought it would be fun to play cupid and give out some matchups for the boys of my fairytale au!

the rules and info for the matchups are simple!

♥ there are seven boys to be matched with! huntsman, beast, prince, captain, cheshire, soldier, and papa bear. i’ve included the links to their tags so you can read more about them if you don’t know who they are.

♥ the event will run from now until the end of feburary! on feburary 28th my box will be closed to requests again, so be sure to get your matchups in before then!

♥ to get a match, send in some information about yourself! feel free to give as much or as little as you feel comfortable with, on or off anon. it can be about your personality, hobbies, interests, likes and dislikes, and whatever else you feel like! i will take these match up requests either in my inbox or from submissions.

♥ and then finally, receive a match! the boys will all have something to say to their newfound matches (complete with a cute little illustration of our flustered skellies hehe), and i’ll even go on to explain why i think the two of you could reach a perfect happily ever after!

🤍 Papa Bear loves someone with a sense of humor! Although he’s not quite as quick on punchlines as he use to be, having someone who makes him laugh really makes him happy, and eventually encourages him to pick up on his game again. Once he knows puns are you’re weakness, you better prepare for him to try out lots of very cheesy ones on you!

🤍 He’s also become quite the outdoorsmen in his recent years. There’s just something peaceful to him about being out and enjoying nature, so he’s taken up a lot of outdoor hobbies like hiking and fishing. You’d both have a lot of fun, and being so far out into the woods also means you’d have plenty of wonderful place to stargaze together!

🤍Understandings are.. nice. Communication is sometimes hard for Papa Bear due to his head injuries and often times the words to properly describe his emotions or hurts just won’t come out. Although he knows no one in the world will be able to perfectly understand his traumas, just like he won’t be able to fully understand someone else’s, just having somewhat of an understanding is... well.. nice.

 *Cracks knuckles.* time to get this started! Okay, to start things off. I’m a pretty kind person though not to the point of obliviousness though is in some ways at times. While is also a sweet person at times so except random compliments. I’m pretty quiet, though will become more chatty when talking if you decide to ask things about my interest.  Though am more so a go with the flow type of person you want to stay indoors? Sure, though best to be warned I will be blunt when need to be. Though do have a shy side and will take a while to warm up to people, once i do however? I may get affectionate with those people when sleepy so that may come without warning. XD  oh! hobbies wise, i do in fact collect simple things like rocks or just stuff that piped my interest. Have that old leaf that feel from a tree? I most certainly do  it’s kinda a thing i do where i collect neats bits and bobs. Baking is my middle name with how much i do this one due to my sweet tooth, so except the smell of cookies in the house often. I don’t really know if this counts as a hobby though i like to gaze up at the stars and take the little moments in, just to have the world stop at that moment and take in the sights. I do in fact play video game! this is not often like my other hobby gardening though is something i still enjoy though mostly do to relax.  dislikes is a hard one i don’t have many except maybe getting spoken over talking behind my back? Though that may be it. it’s pretty hard for me to find stuff i dislike.  My likes though, i like animals! they just want me to learn more about them, space, stars, plants, nature, video game, slow calm moments, cookies, sweets, the smell of fresh sweets, anything sweet, flowers, and music!  uwu i think that’s all of it!

🤍 As someone who has dealt with a whole lotta shit in his life, Captain really appreciates someone who’s kind. It means a lot to him to be able have those tiny moments of vulnerability shared with his s/o when he can show his gentler side, and he becomes an absolute flustered mess of a skeleton at genuine and meaningful compliments.

🤍 People who go with the flow help balance out his stubbornness a lot! Cap is so use to taking control of things in his life he almost does it on an instinct, taking charge and leading by his own sense of direction, but having his darling be more relaxed and adaptable helps him loosen up his grips on the reigns and reminds him to relax!

🤍 He’s also not normally much of the cuddly type during the day because he’s busy, but when Captain’s tired he becomes an absolute cuddle monster! He loves nothing more than to finally wind down by holding on to his darling and dozing off to sleep. The two of you might be catching each other off guard with your sleepy affectionate natures!

Personality; Chaotically Chill Dad/Mom friend, I'm super sweet, mature and understanding but I will turn around and become a reckless mess of energy and trying to impress my kiddos. Have some anger issues but I'm typically a chill friend who worries about everything. Some days are hard and some are easy, making me a surprise everyday!

Strengths; Open minded, super protective of family and friends, can switch from mature to chill depending on who I'm with, great with words. I've been told I'm easy to open up too, and I do make an attempt at being the funny easy going person in the room. Looks for the best in everyone!

Weakness'; Easily overwhelmed, emotional, and majorly depressed. I'm a lazy workaholic, meaning I sleep too much, but work even more. I put others before my self always, massive people pleaser. Get an attitude quick sometimes, and have slight anger issues (If I don't go runnin' crying first) Pick out bad people to be friends because I want to help them (tends to bite me in the ass alot)

Pet peeves; I'm pretty easy going, so not a whole of things get under my skin, but people who actually attempt to piss others off, definitely get me going. anything negative directed at friends and family, also get me quick to rage. Violence, Bad behavior, and Bullies are not my cup of tea-

Hobbies; I adore drawing, working, and cracking loads of jokes/puns. I love taking my kiddos out and having friend dates, or just driving along the country side and jamming to tunes!

🤍 Cheshire hangs on very tightly to those who he can depend on. Someone who he knows will have his back and protect him for when he inevitably gets in over his head. That’s exactly why he’ll find himself becoming attached to you, because not only are you mature and dependable, but you’re also open minded which means he might just be able to persuade you to joining in on some of his crazy antics! You’d make just a perfect partner in crime for this catboy!

🤍 Being easy to open up to is exactly what Cheshire needs too, because he keeps trying to push down his soul and lock himself away emotionally. He gets a little frightened by those who try to open themselves up to him a bit too quickly, but having someone who’s understanding and willing to take it slow will have him loosening the chains he has tied around his soul. He’ll still be pretty stubborn but keep at it! It won’t be long before he eventually opens himself up to you completely.

🤍 He’s a pretty selfish boy, so he likes others who are willing to give him his time and attention. That being said.. he doesn’t like watching someone he cares about run themselves ragged always trying to please others, so he’ll tell you in his own ‘Cheshire’ way to take a break and to let some people deal with their own shit. Not to mention he has a huge ol’ soft spot for kids, and is actually really great about interacting with them! He’d love to join you in cracking jokes and going out on adventures for a wonderful friendship date any day of the week!

So, I'm a genderfluid ball of anxiety! I would want someone who's comfy with me switching up pronouns and dressing differently occasionally. It's a must. (Which I'm sure all the monsters are supportive, but adding that just in case)

I'm a very passionate and caring person! Like, I will absolutely destroy anyone who hurts someone I care about. It also means that I, myself, am very supportive. I try to help the people I care about in any way I can, whether that means helping them get a job, or just being someone they can talk to. In general, I'm a bit of a people pleaser. Now being as cautious and protective as I am, I can get vicious if I'm put in a position that becomes a physical fight. Like, get ready to go to the hospital, vicious. And I'm not that big or strong!

Altho, I typically hate confrontation so like, the only way I'm getting into a fight is if it's a fight for someone I care about or if it's a fight for my life.

Other than my general protectiveness, I like to cuddle, and browse the web. I watch a lot of youtube, I will randomly pull out my computer to fact-check stuff, and I might be obsessed with disaster movies.

I have tons of interest that range from playing instruments to dancing to writing and to drawing, i love lots of different things that can let me express myself!

I'm a dork and I'm super forgetful. I am a very logical person and I think in terms of possibilities. The word I use the most is "maybe". I find it hard to process my own emotions altho I pick up other people's general personality very easily. I think because I have so much trouble sorting through my own emotions, I take a little time to get used to kisses and "I love u's". By this, I mean, it feels wrong to do these things personally, for maybe a month or usually a bit longer before I get used to it and it starts to feel natural. One thing I can never do or get used to is eat or drink anything that has come into contact with someone else's mouth. It seems so disgusting to me and this goes for everyone. From any partner I've ever had, to my mom. Just. No thank you.

I love to draw, I just don't post it because I'm afraid of someone stealing, again. I also love to bake, cook, and sleep in a lot. I’m typically a little quiet with new people but with people I know I rarely shut up. I love to talk about things that make me excited. I am a kind and forgiving (to a fault) person who repeatedly exudes empathy for others (to a point it can negatively impact my health). I’m not very confrontational.

My hobbies are reading and writing.

I am interested in writing (mostly fanfics but I’ll also do my own works), Undertale, Star Wars, Fnaf, among others.

I like mac and cheese, people who are kind and respectful, uhhhh, writing among other things.

I dislike bullies, chocolate (it makes me sick to my stomach as well sooo), and Enemies-to-lovers tropes among other things.

I don’t typically enjoy being within nature, but I do find it to be a beautiful setting to look at. I enjoy quiet nights in the house over parties and find crowds uncomfortable. I am not a fan of touch and am Ace/Aro (though since I’m doing a matchup, so you know).

🤍 Kindness is a big attraction to Huntsman! He has an admiration for those with a kind soul, especially when they’re willing to reach out and help others. The only downside is, those who show too much kindness tend to bring out his protective side. He doesn’t enjoy watching others exploit your kindness or for you to overexert yourself, so he may step in sometimes when it’s clearly becoming too much to remind you to take care of yourself because he cares about you.

🤍 Seems like the two of you share some interests! Huntsy also enjoys reading a lot in his spare time, and is a huge fan of science fiction. Things like Star Wars, Star Trek as well as any kind of documentaries about space and science capture his attention, and one of his favorite things is to admire the constellations when he can’t sleep.

I’m reaaally shy and quiet at first, like, some kids in school legit thought i was mute for half a semester because of how i didn’t talk.due to my shyness, its hard for me to be open and trusting someone. it takes a looot of time and experience between me and the other to open up to them more.
