Well, that much was true. Perspective carried quiet a lot of weight in the Doctor's life. The ideas of right and wrong, good and bad. They were things he spent quite a lot of time thinking about, and things he had no clear answer to. Dylan's opinion on the situation was clear, as was his own. Their opinions, he didn't think, would ever change, either. They could stand here, talking in circles until the end of time, and nothing would ever change. He was the Doctor, and he'd spent too much time with the Master.
He supposed he was right about that. He didn't leave. He never left. He always stayed to help, long past the moment that he should leave. That wouldn't change, either. He will always stay, even when the Master wouldn't. "I always will," he said, almost like it was a challenge. It was, in a way. No matter what the two of them did, he would always stay, and he would help.
At least his watching would be expected. It shouldn't be anything but expected, but he was still glad that it was. Perhaps it would make the man behave better, or at least it would give him an idea of what was happening if and when he decided to act out.
"Oh, I'm sure you're plenty interesting." It wasn't meant to be a compliment, no matter how much it might have sounded like one. The disdain in his tone certainly suggested as much. "But don't worry about me. I know how to pass time."
