Today's mass reading speaks of freedom. Jesus said that we must keep His words and then we would know about the truth--the truth that would set us free. I was trying to think of which truth Jesus was talking about. The Bible speaks of many truths, but I guess these simple truths would make more sense in our day to day life: 1. We are loved despite the many times we had failed God. 2. We are made champions though we had losed many battles. 3. We are made for greater things even if we feel so small. 4. We are loving beings even if we had caused hurt to many people in our lives. 5. We are blessed though we feel burdened. I believe that if we can hear God speaking to us we would hear how much He adores us and believes in what we can be. He is excited for all that things we can do. His thoughts about us are beyond what we believe are possible. He is rejoicing for victories that are yet to come. I think He would be smiling on us on those days when all had gone wrong. But, sometimes we are missing out those wonderful opportunities to spread awesomeness to the world. Why? Because, we are so focused on what we had done--on failures, and wrong decisions. So, we are challenged to focus on the good, on what God sees in us, and keep those visions of our future in our hearts. Let's free ourselves from the voice within that had been pulling us down. Let His words of praises and hopes for our future be the words of truths in our lives; not the lies that we had been playing over and over in our head. He (Jesus) gave us freedom by giving His life for us. And I believe that He did gave His life for us because He believes in us BIGTIME and that He knows we are worth all His sacrifice. AFG. :)
