“Liam? Where are you? If you aren’t here in five minutes I’m gonna go over to Scott’s and give Stiles all the food. I’m serious, dude.” But by the tone in Mason’s voice a friend like Liam would know he was only kidding. There was some humor laced within his words. He was far from angry with the other kid, but more anxious to get their long weekend underway.
His parents had been planning a second honeymoon and Corey was off on a camping trip with his family. Mason saw it as the perfect chance for he and Liam to have some time together again - just them. “Just hurry up. If you aren’t here I will pick out something you don’t like,” referring to the movies they’d be watching. He ended the voicemail, unsure afterwards if Liam even every checked those. Like any scary movie, right after hanging up he heard a few creaks coming from around the house. Could it be Liam? Or had a new foe come to town with goals of destroying two best friends weekend together?
