"Thanks for so much for meeting me in my neighborhood. I'd come downtown, but the car is in the shop again." Emily shrugged her shoulders at this admission. She bought the old junker two years ago, but it gets from place A to B. She would use public transport, but never got her bus pass updated since she got the car. It was on her never-ending to-do list especially when the car started to give her trouble six months ago. She picked up her sandwich, but didn't take a bite as she added, "And it's so nice to see you! We need to plan another stream soon. My chat thought you were so sweet."

technically, ayanna had no reason to be going into the cafe. all of their work for the next week was finished, product of a particularly sleepless night. still, she found herself bounding into through the doors, arms filled with goodies and eyes scanning the room for mason. they'd grown a tremendous soft spot for her, regarding her more as family than friends over their short time. with a soft rap on the office door, ayanna pulled it open and peeked in, eyes bright with a smile to match. "now, before you tell me to spend my off time at home, i come bearing gifts. there's no way you can turn me away, now."
