#Repost @_frond.of.you_ ・・・ Moringa plant! Thanks to @plantfoundry, we were able to take home another of my hubby’s wishlist plants. It’s known as marungay or malungay depending where in Philippines you’re from. It’s a pretty popular superfood, and is one of my favorite leafy vegetables with a delicious Filipino dish called Balatong, or mungo in English. I’m very partial to their pods in my Ilocano (a region in northern Philippines) food dishes—soooo yummy! Although this plant will most likely never grow pods, it still makes me happy having it at home. Hopefully, one day I can use the fresh leaves from this plant to cook our own Filipino soul food with! Confession: My hubby actually bought this plant years ago. It died under my care while he was in Philippines visiting family. Let’s cross fingers and hope this one will survive. 🤣🤣🤣 #moringa #marungay #marungayleaves #malungay #malungayleaves #superfood #filipinofood #alittlebitofeducation #maybetoomucheducation #themoreyouknow https://www.instagram.com/p/CAW2I-HpHXJ/?igshid=82fgkz7njmcy
