This little marten softmount is done too! I made him 1.5 years ago but never finished sewing up his butt and tail 😳 He was just being cute on my shelf all that time, looking at me with those big wet eyes every time I worked on another project. Two weeks ago I suddenly had both motivation and time, a modern day miracle, so I took that chance to fix him. Now he's back to being cute on the shelf again :')

a super pretty marten i skinned out this weekend. had a nice surprise when i was skinning the leg and those horrifying worms popped out 🤢 (i think i’ve identified them as dracunculus insignis)

Marten shouldermount in process, this one was roadkill and was damaged pretty badly. The face was damaged but workable, mainly the road rash between the eyes (now camouflaged a bit) and a large hole underneath one ear. I decided to use the front half as shouldermount and the back half as soft tanning practice

The marten softmount is also done! He's staying in my collection, I can't possibly say goodbye to this wet eyed little beast 😅
