Pan considered it, his fingers stroking his chin in that teasing way where you couldn't quite tell if he was joking or not. "Hmm. You drive a hard bargain... Alright!"
His voice had a child-like innocent tinge to it, even with the danger lurking beneath. "Let's do hounds and rabbits. You're okay with playing with the other boys, right?" His tone made it clear that it wasn't really a question.
A glimmer of hope flickered across her face, but it was fleeting. Her expression quickly darkened, and a frown creased her brow, a hint of disdain washing over her features. "Let me guess, I'm the rabbit in this little game, am I?" She sighed, fully aware that it was likely too good to be true that Pan would actually do something kind for once.
"I was really hoping you might let me wander around on my own for a while. You wouldn't even need to keep me company. Just pretend I'm not here at all. You certainly do that quite well at other times, Pan."
