Mars has a bike posse
So an idea came to mind. There’s this bike make called Mars Kingdom and they sell a wide range of bikes down from the budget-friendly up to the carbon-savvy types. Quality is reassuring, but aesthetically, from my point of view, I felt I could help them in that aspect.
First, I asked around WHAT THE HELL does MARS KINGDOM mean? Nobody gave me an answer (at least a decent one), so I came up with my own.
Mars, is the Roman’s answer to the Greek’s Ares, the god of war. If he’s a god, then therefore, he has a kingdom. Working with that idea, I decided to come up with a shirt design.
I am a fan of Shepard Fairey since day one, from the crudeness of Andre Has A Posse to that Lance Armstrong campaign. Not to mention what he made for Obama. Picked up my pencils and brushes and came up with this.
Since I’m good with my study, I decided to trace it on the computer. I’m a fan of this kind of vector art, but believe me, I don’t do this often. A lot of designers half my age right now are so good at this, they already made $$$ selling merch in this type of art. Would study this art form more then.
After a bit of rambling and doubt, I decided to lay it out on clothing for better viewing. For this matter, I have no doubt it would look good on a shirt, but in this case, let me put it on a cycling jersey.
What do you think?
