Marshclaw is ambitious and stubborn, and she has been since she was young. However, she has always had trouble connecting personally with other cats, as she places the warrior code and her clan above any individual cat's wants or needs, including her own, and it leaves her with little time to form emotional bonds with others. This has caused more than a few conflicts with other cats. On occasion, however, she finds that her emotions can be compatible with the her goals, and she can form a rare friendship with a cat who shares her desires for strong new clans, though she certainly doesn’t mind leaving friendship for other cats, rather than risk the pain of loss. She is also very intelligent and analytical, approaching almost every situation with a tactical mind, whether in hunting, battle, or personal interactions.

Marshclaw is full of ambition, creating a lot of tension with one of her brothers, Galestorm. However, her one soft spot seems to be her other brother, Suntail, who is one of very few cats who she is willing to have a non-work-related conversation with.
