Talia was darling...absolutely spoiling her and Willow was most definitely not running low on fun. But it could be said there was a tiny part of her keeping an eye on the crowd and looking for a familiar disgruntled face. She told herself he probably wouldn’t even show up at a party like this, and that mollified her for a while, until Allison had mentioned that he was her date. Definitely not jealous, no, no she was not. Dinner was done with, but Talia had been begged to sing again, so she meandered towards the dessert bar eyeing the options greedily. Fingers reached for a plate just as someone else did, and Willow didn’t realize it was Marshall at first, as cleaned up and hinting at effort as he looked.
Her jaw didn’t actually drop to the floor, but the surprise was etched on her face. “Marshall? Are you sure you’re at the right party? I expected you to be extremely allergic to a shindig like this. Not that you don’t look good, you look cool, you look um...fine...you clean up nice...” Her hand gesticulated with panicked wildness towards the desserts. “Were you gonna...you can go first...it’s gonna take me forever to decide.”
