Mar tries to be optimistic, she really does, but her anxiety constantly makes her assume everyone’s out to get her. It’s not entirely wrong either with her mutant status but she doesn’t believe people will be nice to her out of the goodness of their hearts.

Nope, its quite the opposite. Mar will voice her concern and worries of bad intentions to others.

O3. are they good at giving advice?

Sort of? Marlee’s advice to almost every problem is to err on the side of caution. She’s not someone you want to go to for advice on whether or not you should do something because she’ll always tell you to wait for more information or to think it over. She isn’t good when it comes to problems that really should be solved with taking action. 

She also doesn’t want to be the cause of making someones problem worse, so she tends to avoid giving people advice at all if she can.

O4. is there anyone in their life that throws optimism on them?

Her newly-plotted moiriail will probably be like that, yes! It’ll be exciting to see how that goes for her.

O5. were they always optimistic?

When left to her own devices Marlee is a pessimist and only spirals further into it the more time she spends without friends. She needs to be around other optimistic (but not super hyper) people for a while in order to break that, like she did with her childhood best friend. It’s very much a case of an introvert being brought out of their shell by an extrovert.

Marlee hates a lot about herself physically and personality-wise. She hates that she’s skinny as a rail, flat chested, and short even though she can’t help it, she hates how her hair is brittle and hard to make look nice, that she can barely keep her powers under wraps, her constant anxiety even though its one of the things that keeps her safe, and above all she hates that she’s a mutant

BUT, she takes solace in her green thumb and her singing ability. Even if no one will notice, she only needs to prove to herself that she’s good at it

G5. what parts of others do they envy?

She envies curvy women but not in a malicious way. She just wants to be like them. She feels if she looked like that then she’d be more confident and less conspicuous. Same for yellowbloods, since she’s a mutant blood of that caste

Mostly bruised ribs/ occasional bang-up jobs over time from when she was just in the wrong place in the wrong time with an angry highblood around. There aren’t any real serious physical ones since she barely leaves her hive, but there are some deep emotional ones :’) 

⚡ : How does your muse feel about storms? Are they afraid of them, or do they calm them?

Marlee absolutely hates storms. The loud noise gives her anxiety attacks and she won’t be able to sleep or relax until it’s completely over

Mar doesn’t believe she’s lovable because she’s a mutant. She believes if anyone were to fall for her, it would be with her “yellowblood” self since that’s her front. She craves love and affection so desperately but has a hard time believing she’s worth it

♬ : Does your muse sing well? Regardless of whether they sing well or not, do they enjoy singing?

Marlee actually does sing very well but no one except her lusus and her old childhood friend has ever heard her. Her VC for singing is Eimear Quinn and Mar loves singing lullabies and soft, slow songs. She does love singing to herself in private, though. It’s an emotional outlet for her as well as something she just enjoys doing

I think i get what ur saying……although they aren’t really “descendants” per se since they’re living concurrently but for simplicity’s sake, we’ll just say they are.

Ixalia would think her ancestor was a badass through and through, even if she wasn’t a threshecutioner and fought battles for others rather than for herself. Ixalia would definitely have more mixed feelings about Preija, though. She’d feel bad that she’s essentially a slave and that she lived most of her life in the wild without a lusus. She’d admire her ferocity though, it’s a whole other level that only a feral troll can achieve.

Yevree is one of my only trolls who knows about her ancestor, but she doesn’t know exactly what she did to achieve such wealth. She’d hate her if she found out she was a fleet sharpshooter, and feel disgusting that all the money she inherited came from murdering mutants and rebels. Yev would dislike Valyre’s cold disposition right off the bat, but admire her relationship with Gamayun since Yevree herself hasn’t been able to really forge bonds with any of her birds.

Vander would think his ancestor was cool as shit, being an anti-empire psionic pirate and all. He’d probably look to becoming one himself if he found any of his ancestor’s artifacts. As for Rhetel, Vander would think he’s a good bean who means well, even if he’s dumb and air-headed. I think they’d bond over not having very strong powers though, since both of them are self-conscious about that.
