I have different way of working on my stories but at the end it’s kind of similar. I will try my best to give you all the working process I’m doing on DH. I first had the idea of a black vampire slayer. I play around in CAS and Destiny were born ^^ Then I thought about what the plot good be about : A young black woman arriving in a new town . Basically that was it. Why was she arriving in this town? Who is she ? Who is going to be her friends and enemies ? What about her family ? Her future ? Her education ? and what about the town itself ? Then all the characters appeared kind of instantly for most of them. Leïla, Soraya, William, Denise, Mama, Blu and Violet were all previous sims I didn’t know what to do with ^^ Chester was a downloadable sims created by @ice-creamforbreakfast , I played a long time with him alone and I wanted to include him in the story because he’s one of my favourites sims. Halette was created by @castawavy when she did a sims request. I planned to use her on my previous legacy but I didn’t get the chance so I had to use her on DH because she’s a great character and she looks amazing. Add to that the open cast I did before starting season 1 that brought me Nancy by @hufflepuff-sim and Vance by @aniraklova , I had all the plots I needed to prepare a correct plan for season 1 and maybe more.

With all these characters in mind, I thought about the full plan for season 1. I thought about the actual TV shows and decided to make like a regular number of episodes and chapters. 10 episodes of 8/10 chapters would be great to answer all those questions. I wrote the first draft that look something like this :

EPISODE 1 : WELCOME TO BRINDLETON BAY

Brindleton Bay/ A new home / A new life / Highschool / New friends/ The teacher/ The bitch/ something weird in town / The bad guys are here

EPISODE 2 : PART 2

Blabla/ blabla / blabla

You got it ? I did it for the 10 episodes and that gave me all the elements I needed to answer almost all the answers. Then I wrote the script for each chapters with some details :

Got it ? But I didn’t cut my scene into frame until recently. You’ll probably do it to when you’ll feel more comfortable writing your story, by that I mean when it will be all clear in your mind. It’s just a way for me to not write extra long chapters (vut t After this step, I take the screenshots, more than I need in case I want to add more lines or explanations. All of this depends on the cc I use and found. Some scenes had to be changed totally because I didn’t find a specific acc/pose/cc I needed but you will also have to be smart with shots and angles sometimes when you really need something you can’t find ^^ For shots and angles, all of this depends on you and your influence (what you see will influence you no matter what, even if you don’t realised it or want it).

I guess at the end I can say I do the three in a way. My chapters are now written frame by frame in order to not be too long for posting, those chapters are focused on a specific event (Ep 1/2 : Character’s and plot introduction, 3/4 actions and twists and plots going on, ep 5 end of the first arc with the nest. Episode 6 beginning of Nancy’s arc that will end on episode 9. Episode 10 : main plots resolutions) . And I also wing it ‘cause I wrote a Simblreen special and I’m preparing an in between season 1 and 2 to introduce season 2 and use some recent cc I love ^^

Also about the others seasons, it was a way for me to talk about several others things while still having a main project. I also love these characters and want to see them live a lot of things before saying good bye to them. But one of the best advice I received is probably to know where your characters are going before full write, it can help you a lot. It doesn’t have to be an entire detailed ending but at least it should help you when you’re stuck.
