She's not who she says she is... Or is she?

Made this in two weeks, I have to admit I tried to use AI for color choice, but ended up using NES palette (as always, my favourite) instead.

Making MDR's, Milchick's, Jame's and Mr. Drummond's tiny heads was very fun. Also the lumon logo went through several versions.

Decided to add the elevator hallway season 2 painting "Kier pardons his transgressors" at the last moment, to balance out some orange on the blue of the severed floor (like how the blue microphone balances at the orange lumon gala)

So Mark S was pretty uncharacteristically mean toward Helly after the camping trip. He’d been betrayed, emotionally and sexually, by someone using Helly’s body and who, by some people’s definitions, is the same person. The man who’d just learned he had a wife, who died, who was still alive, surrendered himself to someone he was falling in love with, and got burned. He got angry. He got mean, even. But that isn’t new for him.

Or, at least not for Mark Scout.

When Gemma died, Mark Scout found himself alone and angry and spiteful and mean. He isolates himself (Mark S going back to his computer), lashes out at his sister (Yelling at Helly he doesn’t know if he can trust that she’s really her), he throws himself into being severed while at work and drinking while he’s not (obsessively working on Cold Harbor while MDR is collapsing around him).

These are all Mark Scout’s trauma responses, and not only do they share the same physiology, but Severance clearly isn’t as powerful and all-separating that Lumon claims it is;
