as you are texting your friends on your phone at 1am in the morning, a small smile waltzed across your face as you laughed at your friends' antics in the group chat. glancing down at the reassuring weight pressing against your thighs as you sat comfortably on the cushioned couch, your eyes immediately set a soft gaze as you took in the sight of your boyfriend's head in your lap, him deep in sleep as he snored softly. you chuckled, yet also felt a bit sorry internally, seeing how your boyfriend was exhausted from a busy day of work. being an idol was never easy, as his schedule was always packed. seeing him would be once in a blue moon, and even when you did meet him, he would be too tired to do any exciting activities together with you. you did not mind it too much though. you knew that your boyfriend was more than making a living -- he was living his dream. a shadow of a smile of admiration danced on your lips, still absorbing the fact that you could have such an amazing, talented and hardworking boyfriend. despite being so worn out by work, his passion for music never faded. the fiery, the determination, the will to carry on this profession burned like gentle yet lasting embers. that made you love and appreciate him even more. despite being ever so busy, he never forgets to text you in the morning and at night at the very least, and also updates you stuff that happens in his everyday life. regardless of whether an event, interesting or dull, happened, the conversation between both of you would never become one of awkwardness. with him, there was never a need to search for words to fill the empty space between the both of you. if there were words, they came out naturally. if there were none, both of you would sit in comfortable silence, each other's presence being more than enough for the both of you. consciously looking back at your boyfriend once more, you reached out your hands and gently took off his glasses, holding them in your hands. you leaned down and placed a peck on his forehead, warm fuzziness spread throughout your body when you made skin to skin contact with your boyfriend. your relationship with him never dulled, and to them, the love between both of you glowed like fairy lights. "i love you, good night, mark."
