problems

starting off the playlist is problems by mother mother. the song starts off with the lyrics "you and me we're not the same / i am a sinner, you are a saint" this is from wilford's pov; he sees felix as like. an entirely good being, almost nothing wrong with him. in wilford's eyes, he (wilford) is a sinner and just inherently bad/causes bad things to happen. moving on, "when we get to the pearly gates / you'll get the green light, i'll get the old door in the face / doo-doo-doo, i'm a loser, a disgrace" wilford's saying when he dies, he feels like he'll like. go to hell. he wouldn't because felix's club allows you to stay for as long as you want. and since felix loosely controls where people go when they die, he would never let it happen.

the next verse is felix's pov, for the most part. "i've found love in the strangest place / tied up and branded, locked in a cage" i interpret this in kinda two ways. the first is like felix finding love in wilford, in the club being the strange place. the other way being he found love in a strange place, being wilford. the love that wilford had is tied up and branded as like "useless" after what happened when he loved celine and WKM happens. wilford has locked love in a cage because he's afraid to fall in love again. "i say i'm gonna stage a great escape / let loose a love all pent up and painfully out of place" is kinds obvious here. felix wants to teach wilford it's ok to love again (letting his love out of the cage) because it's been pent up and shoved away where it shouldn't be. the last two lines here "doo-doo-doo, i'm a loser, a disgrace / you're a beauty, a luminary, in my face" is just more of wilford being like "you're literally so much better than me" to felix lol.

the pre-chorus and chorus is mainly wilford realizing that, yes, he has so many problems and he's warning felix that he has those before felix wants to attempt to be with him. the third verse is the one i explained in my initial post and then the rest of the song is more of the chorus <3

as a heads up for this, i'm gonna be changing the lyrics a bit to fit felix and wilf lol <3

starting the song, "you're making me crazy / really driving me mad / that's alright with me" i feel could be from either of their perspectives. felix being like "oh my fucking god please let me love you" whereas wilford would be like internally conflicted with letting felix love him and it kinda makes him go a little more crazy until he's like "wait. this is okay. it's ok to love." the next likes "it's really no fuss / as long as you're next to me / just the two of us" is just cute. just it's okay if you're crazy, as long as you're here with me and it's just us <3<3

to the chorus- "you're my, my, my, my kind of woman / my, oh my, what a guy / you're my, my, my, my kind of woman / and i'm down on my hands and knees / begging you please, baby / show me your world." i feel like this is more wilford pov, saying just like holy shit, i found the one who loves me for who i am and nothing bad is going to happen to us. and when he's begging for felix to show him his world, i feel like it's more like "show me your world" as like "let me be with you all the time."

the next verse is 100% wilford's pov here- "oh brother / sweetheart / i'm feeling so tired / really falling apart / and it just don't make sense to me / i really don't know / why you stick right next to me / wherever i go." this part is wilford kinda having doubts like oh god oh fuck, what if something happens again i can't fuck something good up again but felix stays with him throughout it because he's trying to show wilford like it's ok to love. you don't need to be afraid of it.

last part of the song is the chorus again, still wilf pov <3

to the first bear ghost song on here, god im so happy i love BG lol. i feel like this whole song is again wilford pov. i put this song in here but i can't directly relate all the lyrics so i'll just relate the ones i want to and explain those lol.

the chorus especially i love for wilford. "hola adriana / could you take me away? / i need to escape this nefarious trade" the trade part becomes more obvious later, but asking to be taken away is so good for wilf. he wants to run away from the past basically and have somewhere to be; and that's with felix.

"he had an elegant connection / something that enlivens us / despite the discrepancy of our lives" i love this line so much. felix's "elegant connection" is the club between life and death, where wilford and him can just live together despite their lives being so different. "you would pull and i would shove / i just want you to love / something greater than me" slamming fists on table THIS PART!!! god this part is just wilford unwilling to accept he's worthy of felix's love despite felix trying so hard. "but battered bullets tend to stray / and death's become my only trade" BEAR GHOST LYRICS ARE SO FUCKING GOOD- anyway battered bullets tend to stray my god it's so good. i don't know how else to really explain it other than it's meaning what it says kinda?? idk i love this lyric so much and death's become my only trade is SO FUCKING GOOD- death being a trade is like a mercenary. this isn't relating to them that much it's more me going off on how good bear ghost is.

the rest of the song is the chorus but it ends with "hola adriana / could you take me away / hold on while i tread on the edge of my grave" AHHHH treading on the edge if his grave being like almost dead BEAR GHOST I FUCKING LOVE YOUR LYRICISM ok im done with this one MHDDJHDHD

mmm good old arctic monkeys, another one of my favorite bands. 505 is a really good one for felix and wilford. again wilf pov <3

it starts with the chorus- "i'm going back to 505 / if it's a seven hour flight or a forty-five minute drive" in the song 505 is like the hotel room/apartment, but here i'm saying 505 is the club. here, wilford just wants to go to the club no matter how long it takes him. "in my imagination you're waiting lying on your side / with your hands between your thighs" uh. self explanatory MFHJSHD-

"stop and wait a sec / when you look at me like that, my darling, what did you expect?" honestly this is just wholesome. the way felix looks at him just makes him absolutely melt. theyre so fucking cute. "i'd probably still adore you with your hands around my neck / or i did last time i checked" could be taken two ways, i'll leave it to your imagination.

"not shy of a spark / the knife twists at the thought that i should fall short of the mark" ok this line is painful. not shy of a spark is just like yeah their relationship has a spark, it's lively, yknow? but wilford feels like he has a pressure of expectations on him (he doesnt) and like a stab wound hurts enough, right? but then twisting the knife makes it hurt so much more (the initial stab is the "expectations" and the knife twist is the thought of being unable to meet them.) "frightened by the bite, though it's no harsher than the bark / middle of adventure such a perfect place to start." the first like doesn't relate to them that much, but the second one relates more to wilford. since he's got the weird time jumpy stuff right? his relationship with felix doesn't start "at the beginning" its more picking up from what he's known. goes into the chorus again, then to the iconic third verse.

"but i crumble completely when you cry / it seems like once again i've had to greet you with goodbye" FIRST OFF, OW, secondly this is so good. the first line is a little self explanatory, but then the second one? MMM because wilford probably goes between the club and not in the club quite a lot, he probably visits and says he has to go again (greeting with goodbye). mmm pain i love it. "i'm always just about to go and spoil the surprise / take my hands off of your eyes too soon" this one is more like he's terrible with surprising felix. he loves to try but he's bad at it. song ends with the chorus, adding on "with your hands between your thighs and a smile" same as the first time but felix is just happy to see wilf.

this december

mmm we love a ricky montgomery song, you know this shit boutta be good.

"only in my darkest moments can i see the light / i think i'm prone to getting blinded when it's bright" THIS song is for felix. yall are getting your first glimpse into his problems now. the first line is him saying that when he gets more depressed/lonely when wilford is gone is when he's realizing just how good they are together. the second one just slams fists on table again GOD i love these lyrics- he doesn't realize how absolutely happy he is when he's around wilford because he's just SO happy to be there. "well this december, i'll remember / want to see it when i do, ooh / god knows i do." i feel like december here is saying the next time he sees wilford he's gonna see if wilford can see how felix is when he (wilford) isn't around. this part gets repeated, and we go-

into the chorus. "i'm alright if you're alright / and i'm okay if you're okay / it's this state in this state i'm living in" the first two lines are just 🥺🥺 felix feels like he and wilford are linked emotionally- if wilford is okay then felix is, too. the third line is just where he lives (the club) and his mental state (not the best) don't go very well together. "it's just a little bit, it's just a little bit / lonely in this home, it's always colder on your own" slams fists on table again PLEASE ok this is basically just felix being like "damn even though im in a club surrounded by other people i feel lonely when you're not here with me" yknow?? it makes sense i promise. "my darlin' i, i, let the season change my mind, hey!" i'm using this song's metaphor of seasonal depression in more of wilford being the "season" because he comes and goes, yknow? so when the season changes (when wilford is there or when he's not) is when felix's mindset kinda changes a bit.

the next verse i'll explain beforehand so it's easier to see- it's an intrusive thought from being without wilford. felix's brain goes a little dark when he's without his light, so of course the intrusions arrive. "only in my darkest moments / i wanna see you with your head wide open / empty in the ground, gone without a sound / just another white elm growing at the end of town / but this december, i'll remember / want you to see it when i do, ooh / god knows i do." the last three lines are more flipped this time- the next time felix is without wilford, he wants to remember what it's like when he's with him. and then when he's with wilford again, he wants wilf to see how much better he's gotten.

the song ends with the chorus again, but then changing it up slightly with "it's just a little bit, it's just a bit and maybe / this december, i'll remember / want you to see it when i do, ooh / god knows i do" ending on a positive note like felix learns that it's ok to have time away from wilford!!! this playlist is all around the place in their relationship but it's still so good!!!

washing machine heart

i explained part of this song already, but i'll explain again :) and just a heads up, this song is more like beginning of the relationship when it's still kinda shaky.

"toss your dirty shoes in my washing machine heart / baby, bang it up inside" this part i've explained- felix acts as wilford's emotional "cleaning" but because it's just so much to handle at the same time as his own problems, it fucks with him. "i'm not wearing my usual lipstick / i thought maybe we would kiss tonight" MMMM this is felix kinda changing how he acts a little bit to try and like. "make wilford like him more" because yeah its just insecurities because felix is trans and wilford's last relationship was with a woman- yeah im projecting what about it? "baby will you kiss me already, and / toss your dirty shoes in my washing machine heart / baby bang it up inside" mmmmm more pain! yummy! idk what more to say other than it's still just like damn this relationship has a rocky start.

"baby though i've closed my eyes / i know who you pretend i am / i know who you pretend i am" PAIN basically felix feeling like wilford can only think about celine. yeah. pain. "but do me ti / why not me? / why not me?" repeats a few times and it's basically saying what it means- felix wants wilford to only focus on him. this song is pain!!!!

AH YAY a break from the pain- this one is more feel good :)

"you and me, always forever / we could stay alone forever / you and me, always forever / say you'll stay, never be severed" mmm just happiness, them realizing they're like amazing together and they wanna be together forever :) the last line never be severed is just like to never leave because god they're just so happy

onto the chorus "you know you've got me in your pocket / you don't just have to wait around / you know i keep you in my locket / just come here and we can settle down" GOD this is just so cute- being in someone's pocket is just being like you're so smitten with them. you're just so in love with them like that's it it's so pure. keeping someone in a locket is usually like a heart locket right??? so my mind makes it so cute just like "you're always in my heart" MMMMM i'm love.

"you and me, always forever / we can stay alone together / heard you say things could be better / darling, don't get away right now" more saying they can be together forever, 10/10 adorable. the last two lines im not too sure about? but it's still cute.

"oh, darling, it's alarming to think of us apart" SLAMS FISTS ON TABLE it's just so cute. god. i love them. goes to the chorus again and goes back to "you and me always forever" lines, ending so cute. love this song it makes me so happy for them.

i'm not going through all the lyrics from here on out to save me both time & to try and not make this post so long lol so here we go

the beginning of the song i'd say is wilford talking about how short his life is. i can't say it's felix's life because he's like. not entirely human lmao. the chorus i'll write out just because i love it so much-

here's an example of one of the songs i hadn't listened to prior to adding it to the playlist so i'm listening to it as i write and going off the lyrics mainly for this :)

the chorus is very pure in my eyes, cute vibes just spending time together and not worrying that they're wasting any time away. as long as they're together, the time isn't wasted.

verse one is funny but cute, just going to an expensive hotel for fun (in two ways) because they can is adorable. then the lyrics (that i'm slightly altering to fit gender) "he looks just like a dream / the prettiest guy i've ever seen / from the cover of a magazine" this could be either of them saying it about each other, it's so cute and pure i love it. it moves into the chorus again after this

verse two is so !!!!!! i feel like this would be more wilford imo, just enjoying the domestic life he's got. "we stayed up all night and slept 'til noon / it's so nice to wake up next to you / let's start the day with breakfast in bed / think i'm gonna love you 'til i'm dead" just adorable, and of course if/when wilford dies (ngl idek if he can 💀) he'd see felix all the time so he'd always love him.

the first IDKHOW song on here!! another favorite band, i love them so much. the album this is from is so good too, highly recommend listening to them if you don't.

i'm not going through the whole song, it's mainly the chorus that snatches my heart and makes it burst with how fucking adorable it is.

however problems by mother mother would probably be a good song for them kinda because i feel like wilford views felix as a really good person (spoiler alert; he's probably not) and wilford would feel he's like. terrible to felix in comparison.

this part wilford would like 100% relate to because he knows felix is almost like a "gatekeeper" to the afterlives after seeing felix literally throw a guy into hell. i feel like wilford would be scared of felix doing that to him (felix absolutely never would, he's literally smitten with wilford)

i like to think wilford just showed up one day and started performing and felix walked out of his office to see the club just bumping and he's like ??????? so he waits til wilford takes a break and goes up to the stage and is like "hey can??? can i talk to you???" and wilford is like "felix! so great to see you." and felix is like "what." because he's never met thus strange yet hot man wearing a pink afro before??? who are you???

so wilford is kinda like "OH we haven't actually met yet, have we? apologies, i'm wilford warfstache, so great to meet you." and felix is confused as fuck still but he's like "uhh,,, yeah, hi, i'm felix. when did you get to my club and who said you could perform on the stage?" and wilford like thinks he's in trouble so he actually gets kinda nervous because he knows how felix gets when he's annoyed and is kinda stutters a bit to get himself together. then felix, who's not actually mad at the performance, is like "oh wait i'm not mad about you using my stage. frankly, i thoroughly enjoyed what i saw, and business is absolutely amazing here. i just wanted to know who said you could go up there."

wilford's just like "OH yeah some guy over there, he said he owned the club, though i now see that was a lie." so felix takes a second and goes over to the guy and like grabs him by the back of the shirt and brings him towards the front of the club where there's a staircase going up to the left, a staircase going down to the right, and a door. this staircases go to afterlifes, and the door goes back to the land of the living. felix makes the guy try the door, to no luck. so felix is absolutely ecstatic now and he smiles at the guy and says "have a safe trip" all sarcastically and literally just throws him down the stairs to the right.

by now wilford has like practically fallen in love because god damn felix has so much power. like if you saw this club owner go over to some asshole, literally grab him and bring him over to a couple exits, and then throw him down a set of stairs. yeah he's down and he's down bad.

after felix sends the asshole to what's most likely hell, he returns to wilford, who's like dumbfounded and trying not to just say i love you right then and there. felix just smiles and says "alright, now that that's taken care of. if you like performing here, we can strike a deal for you to do it whenever you want." wilford, wanting to see felix more, obviously agrees.

and to answer your last thing, no, felix did not go through the events of WKM, he's a separate entity from the story. think of him as like, loosely, a grim reaper of sorts since his club is the place between life and death.

in my head i've imagined it as anyone who's at the club is on the verge of death (so technically still alive, but like in the hospital trying to get brought back) and if they die, they're allowed to stay in the club for however long they want before going to an afterlife. if they're brought back to life they can't stay in the club, however, because they're wanted back on earth.

so felix is a nonhuman entity that takes the form of a human simply to be more "appealing" and appear less frightening. with wilford, felix just wants to let wilford stay where he is since wilford seems to have almost (loosely) understood how this works and because he likes wilford

TLDR; felix's club is a waypoint between life and death, people who are on the verge of death/are dead are the clubbers, wilford likes to stay in the club because it gives him almost a safe place to be.

so first off since i'm not an artist i used a picrew to make him

his name is felix winters and he's the owner of a bar and also tends at it because he just. feels like it.

said bar/club is the one featured in wmlw, which is how he meets wilford. he allows wilford to do his little shows or whatever whenever he wants. after wilfords shows finish, felix shares money from small entry fees he's given to see the little "show" wilford does. this goes on for a while and eventually wilford decides to keep performing at the club really just to see felix at this point.

by the time the events of wmlw happen, they're not fully together, the relationship is more like a "will they, won't they?" kinda thing.

when abe gets to the club and he gets like lost in the crowd and shoots into the air, felix doesn't run out. he comes out from behind the bar, absolutely fucking pissed about what's happening. he asks abe who the fuck he thinks he is bringing a gun into his club. abe is obviously not expecting someone to stop him from getting to wilford so he's there just like ???????? which kinda gives wilford time to almost. hide? but abe kinda explains the situation and felix is like "you're on some fuckin shit" because he's just there not believing a word abe says. but then wilford kinda like just appears back and suddenly nothing makes sense to felix anymore because in what seems like the blink of an eye, the party is back up and rolling.

felix is confused, but decides to play into the party like he normally would. somewhere in the middle of the night, wilford comes over to the bar and starts talking to him. felix decides to confide in him with his confusion, asking how the party was back up and that abe had now joined the party. wilford seems like sad about it, but he smiles at felix and sort of helps him along a realization like he did with abe (leading him to realize that he's technically dead, but death seems to not have any actual timeline). felix is obviously like "wait i fucking died?" and wilford is like "do you have any memory of dying?" and felix actually hasn't died he's just kinda. there. he finds out his club is like trapped in some reality idk how markiplier lore works but i'm throwing shit together (can you tell i haven't gotten around to watch the wmlw breakdown)

uh anyway felix's club/bar whatever it is is like a waypoint between life and death so it's cool any all but whatever. after that night felix lives a little more freely but is still a tired bar owner. at the end of the night, wilford can see that felix is like just drained and tired and he offers to help him de-stress (wink) and from there on they're like a "thing" i guess.
