Vamos que tem muita coisa pra contar!
DoValle.

showing the final day of são paulo fashion week's "home builders" (i know, i think it's lost in translation) segment, mark greiner (apparently new to the city, but better known in the northeast, says portais da moda) celebrated his tenth anniversary in the industry while presenting his spring 2012 range.
working through an artistic-western theme (i wondered if there were perhaps hints of william tell in there as well), portais da moda explains that (loose trans.) "(t)horns sprang from both hats and hands; glued to the necks of models, these represented the difficulties in the path of the designer. Moreover, apples (symbolized) desire."
cast in shades of burnished bronze, white, burnt sienna, silver, black, and gold, with snakeskin and leopard prints serving as accents, the designer worked with materials such as leather and tulle, with sequins, embroidery, and a wrinkling finish providing embellishments. floor-sweeping dresses and skirts were strong, but there were some tube-like trousers, and tailored menswear-style shirts among the range, as well.
although there were some truly beautiful clothes among the range (the dress above a particular favourite of mine), it was difficult to find the accessibility of this collection, and not just for the apples, weird hands, pins, and daring flashes of skin. most of the clothes required an extreme shape (i.e., tall and quite slender) to wear well, thus felt almost better constrained to a museum than gadding about the sidewalks of your city's downtown. or maybe i'll try a look as an experiment and see if any of my local homeless try to snatch up my apple.
