The Special (2020)
This one also has kind of a special place in my heart, no pun intended. I haven’t seen it yet, and I intend to be 100% fair in my scoring of it. This one is particularly of interest to me because B. Harrison Smith, the director, was my high school 20th century history teacher, and whether or not I like the film, I will always hold the belief that the man is brilliant, and I’m happy his dreams are being realized.
That said, here we go!
ESE: 97/100
50 +5 for B. Harrison Smith +5 for “The best revenge is revenge.” +5 for Mike being hilarious -10 for the “Dracula” comment +5 for Madame Zhora +10 for “Stick It In Here” +5 for “Dick in a box.” -5 for taking up Madame Zhora’s show-watching time -5 for killing Madame Zhora and stealing the box +5 for Ivan +10 for titties +5 for the “fucking coffee” mug -10 for being shitty to your wife +10 for kneeing him in the groin -10 for killing your wife +5 for the little sex blob -5 for murdering Mike -10 for the nasty rash and teeth coming out +10 for what “The Special” ACTUALLY is +2 for the after-credit clip +10 for unique story +10 because I just freakin’ liked it
