a magic store?
with interest, he enters the store dedicated to mortal magic, scanning the inventory, a selection that seems limited for the time being. he sees someone that seems to be the only person working there, which leads him to believe it might be the owner, but he doesn’t say anything as he peruses the selections. orochi is only interested in the magic this little shop is offering. only interested in seeing what sort of powers do these human seek, what they are able to produce without any divine interference.
he stops when he notices some wards, a powerful magic that seems to repel things like the minor spirits and the demons that wander the mortal world freely. one hand reaches for it, touching the ward, wondering if there are those minor creatures wandering this world that necessitates this to be created and stocked, ready for purchase.
“is this your shop?” he asks, fingers running through the clean shelves, careful to not touch the product. there’s a lack of dust on his fingers, and he turns to fix his gaze onto the owner/staff. they seem human, but proficient in the art of magic. “how interesting... mortals providing magical aid.” does this mean gods are outdated?
“but yet, there must be a limit to your magic, isn’t there?” after all, if a god is limited by the laws of the worlds, humans are limited by even more.
