I've been seeing this video shared all over my facebook today, and finally took the time to watch it. It's 'LG's Goodest City' contest, where a group of people went to cities across Canada and asked random people on the street if they would help them move something into their apartment. Like a washer, dryer or TV, just to see how many people would actually say yes. If they took time from their day to help, they got to keep what ever object they helped move (they of course didn't know this until afterwards). The cities were afterwards rated by the percentage of people who helped.Β
The top two cities were the two maritime cities used in the test, which just makes me glow with pride and have never been more proud to call myself a marintimer. The second place city was Halifax, Nova Scotia (79%), where I spent the last 3 and a half years of my life as a student, and grew up visiting. And the first place and goodest city of Canada is Fredericton, New Brunswick (81%) where I was raised for a good chunk of childhood and teenage years, and currently live now.Β
Good job fellow marintimers of Canada, never change!
