Sampo & Caelus

sampo is a con man. caelus is the trailblazer, aka the guy who keeps getting dragged into planetary disasters and can respond to serious situations like he was raised by trash cans. they’re such a funny pair because sampo thinks he’s the weird one in the conversation until caelus opens his mouth.

also sampo is so obviously the type to act like everything is business while still showing up whenever caelus is involved. he’s unreliable, yes. he lies, yes. he probably has three escape plans and a fake invoice ready at all times. but he keeps circling back, calling the trailblazer his friend, inviting him for drinks, and acting like they have this ongoing thing.

i just think caelus should be allowed to kiss the suspicious blue man. he deserves one terrible belobog situationship.

Hilda & Marianne

hilda starts out treating marianne like someone she can nudge into doing work for her, because that’s hilda’s whole thing - she acts lazy, cute, and helpless so other people handle the boring stuff. but marianne is so genuinely anxious and clumsy that hilda ends up stepping in anyway. she teaches her, fixes things for her, checks on her, and by the a support they’re having tea and pastries together like it’s their little routine.

the best part is that they bring out such a soft side in each other. marianne gets to laugh without immediately shrinking back into herself, and hilda gets to care for someone without pretending it’s only manipulation. hilda literally thinks marianne is cute. the game says it. i’m just agreeing with the text.
