Pairing: Mario/Daisy
Summary: After a fun night with Mario, Daisy steals his clothes when they notice they canât find theirs. This was literally just a funny thing I came up with, thatâs all. This is a follow-up of sorts to this post. I just couldn't get that thought out of my head, so I figured I'd write something for it.
Daisy woke up as the sun shined through the window, shielding their eyes with the soft blanket that covered them. Once their eyes adjusted, Daisy sat up a little, rubbing the sleep out of their eyes as they yawned. They werenât exactly a morning person, contrary to popular belief, so they needed a second to register that they werenât in their bedroom. Of course, the sound of snoring right next to them clued them into that as well.
Daisy looked toward the source of the noise to find Mario fast asleep under the red checkered covers next to them, seeming like he wasnât intent on getting up any time soon. So, they were in Marioâs room, it seemed, as Daisy took in everything that was going on. Now that they were the slightest bit more awake, they remembered that they had been at Marioâs the night before after a⊠very successful date, to put it lightly. One thing led to another, and, well, you can figure out the rest. So that explains why they were there, and why they werenât wearing anything but their dark orange bra and boxers.
Once they registered that they werenât appropriately dressed, Daisy carefully got out of the bed to look for their clothes. Maybe they had thrown it in Marioâs hamper? No, in the heat of the moment, that was probably the last place they were thinking of putting their clothes. They didnât see any of their clothes on the floor at all, though. Granted, between the cords connecting to various game consoles and Marioâs own clothes strewn about, it was hard to see the floor to begin with⊠Well, it wasnât that bad, that was more of an exaggeration, but the point is, Daisyâs clothes were nowhere to be found. And they did not want to go into the kitchen in nothing but their underwear, especially if Luigi was there.
Daisy sighed after a moment, figuring that they might need to just ask Mario where their clothes were, in the event that he knew. They sat back on the bed after a moment, before leaning over and lightly shaking Marioâs shoulder. âBaby bearâŠ?â They whispered, trying to not be too aggressive in terms of how Mario might get woken up.
Mario groaned a little in response, before letting out a quiet âhm?â in response to Daisyâs question.
âHave you seen my clothes?â
âMm-mmphâŠâ
And with that, Mario was out again. Well, so much for that. Daisy rolled their eyes slightly at that response, glad that they were able to at least get that much of a response out of their boyfriend. âMâkay, well, Iâm gonna just borrow yours for a bit.â They replied, despite knowing that Mario was probably already too asleep to hear them.
Now having a plan, Daisy got up and walked to the closet space near the bed, with various shirts hung up, including one that caught their eye. It was a black shirt with a bridge on it, with the words âNo Sleep âTill Brooklynâ on it in white. With a shrug, Daisy pulled the shirt off its hanger before putting it on. It felt loose on them, except in the chest area. They werenât entirely surprised, though, since Mario was a bit heavier, yet had a smaller chest than them. It fit about as well as a crop top, covering to just above their belly button. That certainly wouldnât work. Maybe Mario had a pair of pajama shorts or something they could wear as well?
After quietly searching through Marioâs dresser, they found a pair of red plaid pajama shorts that would do the trick. After carefully putting them on, adjusting them so they werenât about to fall, they then decided that they might as well go get breakfast, since they were up and awake enough that they would probably not be able to go back to sleep.
Daisy quietly closed the door behind them, leading out into the main hallway of the small one-story house that the brothers shared. After ducking into the bathroom to adjust their hair so it at least looked presentable (Grambi knows their hair was never nice in the morning unless they aggressively brushed through the curls for nearly an hour), Daisy walked into the kitchen to find Luigi, already up and at âem, cooking breakfast.
âMorning, WeegâŠâ Daisy tiredly greeted, sitting at the small island across from where Luigi was working.
Not expecting anyone else to be up, Luigi couldnât help but jump as she heard Daisyâs voice, coming concerningly close to having a heart attack as he whipped his head around to where Daisy was now sitting. âJesusâheyâŠ!â She greeted back, taking a deep breath to hopefully calm herself down.
Daisy chuckled a bit at that, not meaning to scare Luigi, but finding his reaction a little funny, nonetheless. âSorry, didnât mean to scare ya.â They apologized, picking at Marioâs shirt to make sure it was covering everything it needed to. âDid you forget I was here or something?â They then teased.
âNo, I just forgot how quiet you can be sometimesââ Luigi explained, sighing before returning his attention to the eggs he was cooking. âI didnât know you spent the night; I thought you left.â
âNah, Mario convinced me to stay,â Daisy joked. ââŠand heâs still asleep, in case you were wondering.â
âOf course.â Luigi replied, playfully rolling her eyes. âYeah, heâs not a morning person unless he has to be, you know?â
Daisy snorted at that, trying to contain their laugh. âYeah, I noticed. He was barely able to wake up when I asked him about my clothes.â
âOh! Yeah, about that, I got up early to do laundry, and I figured I would do Marioâs too just to get it done. I guess your stuff was in the hamper too.â Luigi explained.
Speaking of Mario, almost as if on cue, he stumbled into the kitchen, his hair partially in his face as he leaned against the wall. Fortunately, he had remembered to put more than boxers on before he left, now sporting a pair of red basketball shorts. ⊠And nothing else. Just shorts, no shirt, so his top surgery scars were noticeable. Not that anybody cared, but still. Besides, it wouldnât be the first time Luigiâs seen him shirtless since he got top surgery, so he wasnât too bothered by it. âMorninââŠâ He greeted the pair with a yawn.
âHeyyyy, sleepyhead~â Daisy teased, before patting the chair next to them. âWe were just talkinâ âbout cha, câmere~!â
Mario tiredly smiled as Daisy greeted him, brushing his hair out of his face as he sat in the spot next to them. âOh yeah? Whatâre we talking about?â
âJust how youâre not a morning person whatsoever.â Luigi chimed in with a shrug, putting the eggs onto three plates. âIâm making toast, too, you guys want some?â She then asked as she handed Mario and Daisy two of the plates.
âOoh, toast sounds good!â Mario commented as he happily took the plate from his sibling. Of course, everything sounded good to him, especially considering the kind of night he had last night; he definitely needed to eat something after that.
Daisy playfully rolled their eyes at Marioâs response as they took their plate from Luigi as well. âIâm okay, though. Thanks.â They happily replied before digging into their eggs.
Of course, Mario saw that eye roll and wasnât having any of it. âWhat? Whatâs with theââ followed by an exaggerated eye roll, ââhuh?â
Daisy simply stuck out their tongue out at him in response, before taking another bite of their eggs.
âThatâs not a response! Câmon!â Mario whined in response, before admitting defeat and taking a bit of his eggs as well.
âWhat, youâre just funny! What do you want me to say?â Daisy replied with their mouth full, covering their mouth with one hand as to not accidentally spit their food while they were talking.
âThat Iâm cute, maybe?â Mario quipped in response, to which Daisy dismissively shook their head. At that moment, however, he realized that, hey, that wasnât what Daisy was wearing last night. ââŠWait, is that my shirt?â He then asked, checking Daisy out for a moment. Not that he was complaining, but, he didnât expect it, is all.
âYeah?â Daisy then replied with a little shrug. Honestly, they didnât see the problem with borrowing their boyfriendâs shirt while theirs was being washed. It was better than what they had woken up in, at least.
âOh, okay. No biggie, just wondering.â Mario responded.
âMy stuffâs in the wash, I guess. So, I made the decision to borrow yours until mineâs clean, thatâs all.â Daisy further explained.
âOh, gotcha, alright.â The other replied, just as the toaster signaled that the bread was finished.
âYou sure you donât want some toast?â Mario then asked, shifting the conversation back to the food, because that was the bigger issue to him at the moment.
âNah, Iâm good. Donât wanna get breadcrumbs all over your clothes anyway.â
âOkay, suit yourself.â Mario replied with a dismissive shrug, taking a piece of toast once it was on a plate and not in a spot where he could get first-degree burns.
âI mean, I did, just with your clothes.â Daisy quipped in response.
Now it was Marioâs turn to roll his eyes, deciding to just focus on eating breakfast before it got cold. They could get the clothes situation figured out later, anyway.
